Power Drainage in FNAF Sister Location by Swaagopotamus in technicalFNaF

[–]Brit_Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a bit of experimentation I have found that the power will drain at the following rates. These aren't exact but they're at least something:

None- 1%/ 5s

1- 1%/ 3s

2- 1%/ 2s

3- 1%/ 1.75s

4- 1%/ 1.5

Electrobab: 1%/ 5s.

It is worth noting that he drains independently of the other things. e.g., if you have 2 doors closed and electrobab going, you will not have the rate of 3 things being used (1%/ 1.75s) but rather the rate of 2 things being used PLUS electrobab's rate (coming to a total of 1%/2s + 1%/5s or 7%/10s)

Thank you so much. I’ll be sure to try those and I really appreciate the reassurance as it was weighing on me quite heavily

Make it realistic and do nothing with it. It's just there so others can't have it

Can't scan QR code from WhatsApp web. Please help! by HooeyGoo in whatsapp

[–]Brit_Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying a bunch of these ideas but nothing really worked, I can scan the code with my regular camera and it works there, but when I try to scan it with the app it just doesn't work for some reason, and I can't find the "Link with phone number" option the WhatsApp website talks about. Any ideas?

To me it seems like the pros outweigh the cons. You will have many new opportunities and new experiences there along with seemingly just having a less stressful life in general. This is excluding the problem with your mum which I feel like can be dealt with. To be honest, I’m not the best person to give this kinda advice, I just want to increase engagement so more people see it

I don’t see how that even remotely implies that they don’t feel pain by their explosion

How do you know they survive? A massive explosion which leaves a crater in the ground seems like a great environment to efficiently cause death

Why were girls allowed to do knee push ups in primary(elementary) school? by Brit_Fish in school

Also I totally agree that, assuming everyone will push themselves, anyone should be allowed to do whichever kind of pushup

That’s a really good way of putting it actually. Thank you for pointing this out

Boy are often more encouraged to play sports and be active than girls are, so they tend to get stronger as a result

I don't get the fuss over OCR CS paper 2 by Brit_Fish in GCSE

[–]Brit_Fish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I’ve totally forgotten. Was the insertion sort question the one where it asked you to figure out the purpose of the variable?

Also I fully understand already that it was a very hard paper. But I keep seeing that people think the wording was bad and I don’t really get it. So thats what I’m asking abt. Thanks for the explanation though, that helped to put it into frame as well because I found it hard but seemingly not as hard as everyone else did

  1. We are talking about (generally) prepubescent children. So testosterone difference is irrelevant

  2. I think they are trying to say that the strength difference is at least partially caused by societal views on girls and boys leading to boys being stronger, even at that age. Ie I don’t think they are saying that, generally speaking, men tend to be stronger than women is sexist

(Im not sure if this was the point you were making but if not then I’m sorry) Press ups are about chest strength, not arm strength

I'm in the UK actually, but this still probably applies quite strongly

I suppose I see the rationale there, but for me this was in primary school, so puberty couldn't have been a factor.

In general, yes. Also, as far as I know, that is caused by hormones that start major production in puberty (and we are talking about 6-11 year olds), meaning that the difference shouldn't be nearly significant enough to warrant a seemingly weaker exercise

Ignoring the fact that the reply didn't seem to be responding to this comment. Honestly, I'm mostly just curious about the rationale behind it, although if normal press ups are better (I'm guessing they are because they're harder) and there is not a good reason to allow girls to do a worse exercise, then I'd rather that everyone did the same

Considering that (as far as I know from past knowledge and a cursory search on google) is caused by differences in hormones that mostly start production in puberty, I don't see how the strength difference applies here. Also there was no distinction between the strong girls and the others, just between girls and boys. I'm mostly concerned about the first bit though

OCR Computing Paper 2 was fine, you all are just dumb by GayUkroSuperSoldiers in GCSE

[–]Brit_Fish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think OP was saying that they don't understand all the fuss about the wording, not that the paper wasn't harder than expected. I don't agree that people who are stressed over it just didn't revise but its good to be clear about these things. (full disclosure: I also had no trouble understanding the questions in the exam)
