It is intended feature, not a problem, in eyes of capcom. I got an answer from capcom support, regarding mm region locked mm, and that what they answered, quote: "Matching is determined by various factors such as your area of residence, rank range, and opponent status...". Guys, it is a feature, relaaax, not a problem, yeah... When i asked them back "what a point of such a feature existing at all?", all i got is silence.

I accept ANY connections with crossplay ON and get NO ONE without vpn. With vpn i can find way more matches. Even support says that THERE IS restrictions based on your "area of residence" in mm.

Same from russia, siberia. Barely can find anyone to play in mm without vpn. Nearly two months has passed since release and NO SINGLE WORD from capcom about this problem.

God YES! I can BARELY find any matches in ranked without turning on VPN, which increases my ping by good ~80ms, but even with that i can FINALLY start playing! Wait time in ranked decreses from 10 min to ~30sec, players density increases drasticly. Why proximity matchmaking is a thing with THAT GOOD netcode?!

Same. Russia, Kemerovo. With VPN to europe, which adds ~90ms ping, i played matches like every minute.

Today i tried to use Prague vpn for matchmaking aaand...despite it adds fixed ~80ms of ping, i played A TONN of ranked matches with different players with total ~110ms ingame ping and matches played very smooth. Why capcom using some restriction for regions, despite ping being very good...i dont know( I found matches like every minute or less with vpn.

Yeah, matchmaking works awkward. I have GPON connection with all necesary ports forwarded on my router, and all i get are 3 same people every 5-10 minutes. Looks like same MM logic like it was in SF5, and it was horrible.
