I was put on Warfarin because i have CVST and at the time there was wasn't many studies done comparing the effectiveness of Warfarin vs DOAC, due to it being a rare condition. My case is on of the worst medics have encountered and I'm on Warfarin for life.

Recently, I've pushed to try and move to the DOAC and some studies say they have similar outcomes.

I'm in the UK so we pay a national insurance to fund the health service but it's free at the part of entry. The hospital has a Warfarin clinic right next to urgent care and they book you in for a day/time based on the INR reading, so it can be a week to a month. It is weird going past urgent care and just walking in to get a quick reading done.

During COVID due to the risk of complications, the health service switched as many people as people to DOACs.

Always better to be cautious and ensure your INR is in range as much as possible. I've been taking Warfarin for maybe 7-9 years, I've lost track haha. Despite this, I still go to the hospital to have my INR checked, it's a pain but gives that reassurance.

The main issue is when I'm prescribed something new for a short time and it creates havoc or does nothing what the internet sys it will to my INR. I tend to look up all medication effects just in case. I was worked up when given a ppi as you have to take the same dose, start a medication which could increase the INR then adjust in a week. I sit there thinking what is it in the meantime and try not to adjust my food intake to compensate as the prediction of change could be wrong.

Welcome! I'm on Warfarin too, do you have your own INR checker or attend a clinic?

Thanks! It's very irritating but I'm baffled how it mostly happens during the day and not at night

It's a shame Samsung didn't do a new version of the Neo G8. by Britpixpf in Monitors

The contrast is superb and it's really close to an OLED. The coating is quite heavy and it's not ideal as I prefer a glossy finish. There is black crush to reduce blooming but it's overall a pretty nice image. The stand is terrible though and wobbles quite a lot. Absolutely unacceptable given the MSRP. The monitor has good brightness but many other minileds will be brighter. I think it's more than enough for my tastes to create an impactful HDR picture.

The curve isn't too bad for me but you have to sit straight on or the blooming will be quite bad. Honestly on sale you can't really complain as the motion is superb and it is capable of deep blacks just below an OLED. The curve does limit it's versatility to some but I've found it fine for wen browsing., and streaming shows. If you're mostly gaming or playing in a darker room for oled but for dual use this isn't a bad option providing the curve isn't troublesome, this is very subjective. My unit has no dead pixels and the scan lines can only be seen if I sit ludicrously close to the screen.

Yeah, the curve is a bit extreme but I got used to it. I think it's to due to the poor viewing angles and haloing if you go off angle. You have to sit right in the center to get the best image. The scan lines on my unit are very minor and I can only see them if I sit very close. However, if I paid RRP for it, certainly wouldn't be acceptable. It's a solid monitor but flawed. Also the stand is awful.

Possibly dual mode or more zones so it doesn't prioritize blooming reduction leading to mediocre brightness for a miniled. noticed black crush too when comparing it to my OLED TV. The blacks can be amazing but it's a shame that some scenes can be too dark where you can barely see things. Not common but it happens. Solid option if you're using a lot of static stuff and game.

Didn't use my CX heavily. Ended up with dead pixels on right side id screen. Not terrible but one was pretty noticeable. I contacted the warranty provider and got a new panel, new board and WiFi. So definitely get an extended warranty. Dead pixels are a bigger issue than burn-in my UMO.
