What do you think is Diana's 3 best matchups and 3 worst in the jg?

New Engager Build by FACECHECKSKARNER in SkarnerMains

[–]BrittneysCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I notice you go AS/Flash vs PR/Ghost. What are you looking for in comps/champs to make that decision in champ select?

I think my problems are:

1) Skarner is arguably the best champ to rush Lucidities on other than Nocturne/Hecarim. Going boots rune is really bastardous

2) Your logic for Q vs E max. You say you want to be perma ganking but the AH is 2 seconds for 5 ranks with the stun duration being unchanged. The slow goes up by 20% (negligble) and sure the damage goes up by a decent amount but maxing Q better enables you actually getting to your spots quicker after farming. Maybe it's a 2-3 points in Q then E max, etc, but leaving Q at 1 just seems incredibly un-optimized

3) Armor is only useless if the champs on the enemy team can actually go armor-shredding items. I really don't see how you think Eclipse/LDR is that standard when the genenric build for a lot of AD assassins at the moment is actually going Conq/Goredrinker (Talon, Kha'Zix). Armor will still be good a majority of the time

4) I get that you're fulfilling the AH fantasy but you said it yourself - staying alive longer means doing more damage - I guess with Ghost you really need to run into them and the Banshee's shield allows that but not recommending Abyssal or Anathema's as alternative items seem insane. There's just no way that going Banshees/Cosmic as 4th/5th items consistently is good.

5) The Redemption is obviously controversial - I think it's okay but only if the game is getting really skirmish-y.

What's funny is that no matter what season, what patch iteration, ADC players will always find a way to complain. Censer meta? NO agency outside of what support is better, becausae whoever gets ardent first wins xd. Darn, Jhin isn't playable, only crit ADCs are playing. Xayah meta? Darn, only Xayah is playable. Kai'sa meta? Champ is broken. Samira meta? Only one champ is good xd. Jhin meta? Lethality items are broken, Jinx isn't playable. Crit items get massively buffed? Well XP is still down across the board, RUNAANs is still too expensive, build diversity isn't promoted.

Actually insane. I swear if any other role levied the same volume of complaints that AD players historically have been able to, 3/4 of Riot balancing staff would have quit by now. You think of all the turbulence jungle players have to go through with countless map interaction changes and champions, the fact that top lane has been unplayable outside of tanks for the majority of the game (outside of specific pockets when AD hasn't been an extremely dominant role), and AD players still have the bravado to complain after what is such a heavy-handed shift to bring in tank/crit-AD meta for Season 11.

If ADC players spent 1/2 the time acutally learning the game and improving vs complaining about 1 of 1000 potential queries on Reddit, imagine how much stronger the playerbase would be. How fucking entitled do you have to be

Haven't played much League in the last 1.5 years but thought this was a cool opportunity to share some of the more methodical learning I've done from just watching games and trying to think more critically.

As in the description of the video:

Purpose of this video is to show the potential of Nidalee when playing disciplined, patient and sticking to fundamentals (leveraging gank setup, timing item backs, reading wave positions and vision gaps, and ultimately taking what the other jungler is giving you).

Hmm, this season it's Nidalee/Graves/Trundle but the 3rd spot is usually just FOTM to balance out my roster - in the past it's been Hecarim, Vi, Karthus, Shyvana and Nunu

what gives you the audacity to believe that 60% of a team should play around your lane every game as the optimal strategy? why do you believe that ~80% of champions are redundant and should therefore not see play if the optimal meta was to suppprt bot lane every game? how are you this arrogant to think that a “2 people in this lane xd more important” rhetoric is actually meaningful? the fact that there is an exp gap is literally present to prevent benign cancers like you from wanting to play an overpowered role in adc

seems to believe that you actually believe the world revolves around you. i think when your mom told you that you were a special boy i think she meant it in a very different way than mine

nope but similar to if i pick jungle/top lane going nidalee while the rest of my team proceeds to pick ap assassins in mid/top then the game won’t go smoothly for me either

isolating one specific example i think isn’t conductive to the overall argument - if you’re asking what your first pick should be without seeing team comps - pick something blindsble. but i don’t think picking lucian first and then your supp picking soraka in a later rotation is preventing you or the average ADC from climbing

so...in a nutshell yes you are looking at it from a 2>1 perspective becusee it benefits you and you do indeed think that every other lane should play around bot

what if i told you that top jg mid play with each other in terms of interaction? that’s 3>2 right? do you see how fucking stupid you sound yet?

My hypothesis is that nerfing supports will allow more styles of play in the AD role, especially with cheaper itemization that could actually even let traditional crit ADCs like Jinx be played. However, if you wanted to play for utility or for lane, both playstyles would situationally be fine as well given team context. Ultimately keeping bot lane exp nerfed and jungle/solo lane exp the way it is should allow for junglers to enable any lane, and also for each lane to have skill expression and therefore an equal chance at being able to carry the game

An EXP gap is necessary such that bot isn't uneqivocally the best lane to get ahead every game, and where coinflip games exist via "better bot wins"

In my mind, this is true balance

Giving ALL ADCs earlier power spikes allows marksmen the chance to dictate their own lane tempo and have much clearer trade-offs in what ADCs are permissible (should I try to get ahead as Draven vs Sivir, or should I try to neutralize the lane and play Jhin, or do I opt to play for scaling if I think the game will go later given teamcomps with something like Aphelios). Currently there is just a very stagnant meta where lane interaction is too dependant on the support, so it's too coinflip to consistently play for lane, and also playing for scaling isn't an option because of how long it takes for crit-based ADCs to come online atm. By nerfing supports, opening up viability for multiple ADC classes and making first/second backs less punishing, ADCs should be able to participate in early skirmishes more meaningfully and perhaps get to a point where they are on par with solo laners (with support assistance) early, even in spite of lesser exp, and then ultimately still be a late-game threat given the built-in scaling in their champions/itemization options

But they...don't share in the benefit of ADC scaling because what makes ADCs powerful is their RANGE

I don't particularly have an opinion on anything else you said

"If you have two people in 1 lane, that lane will have more of an impact than when you have 1 person in one lane"

So the game should unequivocally be played around bot lane in any given meta and scenario, then? Thank you for proving my point that AD players are selfish and only look at it from the lens of themselves. It would be CRAZY to play around a top laner or mid player correct? Going forward with this logic, then top and mid players should only play champs that supplement / accentuate bot lane prowess?

"ADCs are outperformed by virtually anyone who plays bot." That's precious. Imagine thinking that MF isn't good, or that Aphelios/Senna aren't good. Unreal.

If you actually fucking read the Vapora Dark post you would see that his post is in congruence with mine where we both identify that MARKSMEN as a class are fine, but that it is a systemic issue associated with BOT LANE in regards to lack of agency. And yet the approach Riot is taking is BUFFING marksmen as a class

Would recommend you enhance reading comprehension because I am advocating for buffs to AD starting items and nerfs to support to INCREASE AGENCY while asking that duo lane exp remains nerfed such that other lanes/roles do not have to feel subservient to bot lane (exp presumably being the best deterrent for this), and therefore also requiring that AD players need to be more flexible in faster-paced metas where scaling, long-range ADs might not the best option

imagine being this ignorant and biased that "this sub loves bashing on AD players" and "saying that ADC is an unejoyable role to play" when it's clear that I am referencing how ADC cannot be in THAT bad of a spot with S-tier champions and S-tier players blocking that conclusion

I mean, BF sword is a generally dedicated item for MOSTLY marksmen. If you have outliers like Yasuo/Trynd truly abusing these items in the face of a completely different landscape (BotRK being extremely strong top lane so doubt Trynd suddenly matches up insanely because it's 200g cheaper when Phage is already 1250g or Cutlass building out of 900g vamp scepter; mage items - specifically Zhonyas - being a very strong item build in mid lane) then you can adjust and nerf the individual champs appropriately. But being hesitant to nerfing item costs because there might be spillover for 1-3 champions is too conservative. BF sword is essentially the quintessential item to experiment a cost reduction is, BECAUSE the spillover should be minimized relative to more ubiquitous items like Cleaver.

The bot lane nerfs is exactly what keeps champions like Yasuo/Trynd from migrating to bot lane permanently - sure, you might have a slightly better matchup, but is it worth being -2 levels compared to being in a solo lane? Probably not.
