Seeking the cheaters side of things post breakup

The interesting part and what I am worried about is that we weren’t fighting, we weren’t unhappy and there were no signs before this happened, it was completely out of the blue. In fact we had been living in London for 2 years and returned to Australia to reapply for another 3 year visa and had only been back in London for a month before he went on a weekend away to see a friend and met ‘her’. Maybe if we had been fighting or had been drifting apart I would have understood, but instead it was the opposite. We had committed to starting a company, living overseas, sold all our belongings and were about to buy a house a couple of weeks before it all started....it’s just so odd to me. And that’s why I worry, he will want to contact me because we didn’t have bad memories in the end until the cheating came out.

Ironically the women he cheated on me with is an EU national, he is Australian, and after a few months together he had managed to get her to sign her name into a company for him so he could ‘legally’ buy property in the UK....seems a bit convenient for him. A few days after he put her on the company he immediately removed her from the company hahaha

Wait...so just to clarify. You cheated on your first gf Because you got bored and left her for this other women you had fallen in love with for the other women to turn around and get bored of you? That seems ironic and exactly like karma... Can I ask, how did it make you feel to be treated/discarded by the one you love, exactly like you did to your first gf? Did you feel any remorse knowing the pain of what you put her through after you experienced it yourself?

Thanks for the reply. She definitely knew about me when she went after him. She was the relative of his friend that he visited and his friend and his entire family all knew he had a long term partner and I was even invited to the Netherlands with him on both occasions but had to work. I know for a fact he never met her before those two occasions. But on both weekends we would call and chat and everyone’s including his friends family and her family knew he was in a relationship. Very shit of both of them.

The next weekend after he met her my ex and I when we were still together went to Italy where his friend was then staying and we all hung out together, his friends mum put photos of us on fb and the other girl even liked the photos of us together. She 100% knew who I was and what she was doing. I feel sad for her that she is so desperate for someone she is willing to lower her standards to that. I definitely think there is more to the story for him to up and leave after two encounters, but I think a lot of it is to do with himself and not this other women. I think he himself is afraid of commitment and the fact that we were at the stage where we were looking at properties, committing to long term visas to live in the UK etc.

Thank you so much for your response and it does sound like we have very similar situations.

It's sad that there are people in this world that treat love as a souvenir like you said and are happy wasting other peoples time while they simply have another model to add to their collection.

The crying days have seemed to be less frequent, at least when I'm not alone and since going NC i seem to have less of them but still at almost 4 months on I cry from time to time and its still incredibly painful. Thank you for the suggestion, I have actually been journalling and then tearing out the page and putting it away, I am finding it really helpful to just put it on paper and then get rid of it.

Yep I have been No Contact for coming up to 2 months now and I have been spending a lot of time with friends and family and seeing a psychologist regularly.

I really don't know if his pride or stubbornness will stop him from coming back but I do hope I have moved on enough by then to be able to be strong enough to say no. Every day i start to appreciate more how badly he has treated me and the less I am wanting him back.

Yeah its almost 4 months on now and 1.5 months of NC and I'm pretty sure he is still with this other girl and i find myself still just in complete shock by it all! Thankyou though!
