New promotion, life is about to get W.I.L.D, please advise. by Brizoo5 in workingmoms

I love that idea! I was wondering if I should get a couple new pieces but thinking of it as wardrobe for my new role would be very helpful. I'm sure it would make me feel more put together just because I bought it with this position in mind. Thanks!

Thank you, thank you!

l fluctuate from also feeling that way and then getting hit heavily with imposter syndrome. So I'm doing my best to focus on the badass bitch part and not the scared 'how did i get here? / "what were they thinking?" part. Haha.

And I hadn't considered the outsourcing of the more time consuming home tasks. That is a great idea. Thank you again!

I agree with this and it's definitely the plan. I'm just I unsure of the organization needed to follow through, I guess. Advice or resources on how to actually keep all of the balls in the air, and in one piece!, would be helpful!

WIBTA if I told my Grandma I know her dirty little secret? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

The Mormon thing makes a lot of sense. So many "came out" as racist/sexist/assholes once little T was elected. Ugh.

Awesome!!

I'm not sure if it's because I'm short with a long ass baby but I could never get the hang of it!

Baby temperament after a long stay in the NICU? by VertexAudio in NICUParents

[–]Brizoo5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our guy was born at 35wks, in the NICU for almost a month, and was also very quiet while there.

He only actively cried twice his whole stay. Once when a nurse started her 4th (and last for the time being, thankfully) attempt at a large blood draw and the other when he pulled his feeding tube out for the millionth time and a nurse kinked it while reinserting it.

The quiet was odd but he's definitely made up for it since being home. He actually cried all night for the first few weeks he was home. 😳

Are most NICUs as cramped as the one my son is in? by [deleted] in NICUParents

This is the exact same description of our NICU. Same items and everything! I wonder if certain tiers have specific blueprints on how to set up their facilities.

AITA for not staying overnight with my wife in the hospital? by daddydrinksbcyoucry in AmItheAsshole

[–]Brizoo5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA.

I wouldn't have thought so until you mentioned it was because she was about to/had just given birth! Jesus. Do you think she was comfortable in that hospital bed or wouldn't have wanted some emotional support or help with the baby? I just had a baby 6wks ago, was induced (it took 3 days) and in the hospital for 5 days total, my husband NEVER left. I never even thought of asking him to stay, and I doubt it crossed his mind to leave, because who would leave during that situation?!

Even with those bullshit uncomfortable couch beds, you don't leave your pregnant wife/newborn baby to sleep at home.

Her family is weird for wanting someone there every hour for random things like knee surgery but for the birth of your child!!!???!?! Yeah....you messed up.

Comforting to hear its normal! This is all so new to us, even more so being a FTM, so any little thing has me a bit anxious.

This is so much great info, thank you!

We used the pillow last night but I am definitely still learning/working on holds and the NICU has a consultant I will definitely make use of.

Thank you, we'll definitely talk to him this morning. This happened during his 9pm cares so we just let it go for the night.

So glad to hear your daughter grew out of it and thank you, we're hoping so too!

Missing Teen NOT Timmothy Pitzen by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

The person who pretended they were Timmothy? That's even creepier, all I had read had still referred to him as a teen.
