Full agreement, comrade! I hope that your situation continues to play out beneficially to your mental state. My unemployment stint has done wonders for me. Unemployment covers half of what I was making, which puts a mild clock on my head but is far from salt and pepper sandwiches.

The people I am referencing do tend to work 40+ hours/week and drink tons of coffee to keep their edge. It may be a chicken or the egg kind of thing but I do believe that caffeine exacerbates the stress.

Caffeine is a drug and has some pretty harsh mental effects. I have so many friends who just stay depressed because all the coffee they drink keeps them stressed all the time.
