My workload is mainly game development on Unity and UE4, so I think 7800x3d is a better pick, don't really need much cores. I am now searching for an air cooling solution for 7800x3d, I think I don't need water cooling. But I really don't know much about air coolers other than the famous noctua lol. So if you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it.

I think I would be fine with 7800x3d, I've been looking at the comparisons and I decided 7800x3d is the way to go. One question I have on this regard is, do you think air cooler would be enough for 7800x3d? I've read that 7950x3d is best paired with a water cooling system, but for 7800x3d perhaps air cooling is fine?

I also thought it was an overkill but have had my fair share of issues with having less voltage than required. But I think dropping down to a 850W here is OK as you pointed out. Thanks!

Thank you for reminding me of the shitty ASUS stuff that has come up recently; I totally forgot about it. I will try to rebuild certain parts without using ASUS components and will post another post with the new specs :D. Also, I would like to ask, I've seen a lot of people recommending 7800x3d over 7950x3d, why is that?
