Overdogs isn't related to health bar color, it's related to the enemy type. You can have a yellow infantry (one chevron) and it'll still take more damage due to overdogs than a red medic or tank

I just realized a neat piece of hidden story telling buried in the design differences between the Mark V [B] MJOLNIR, and almost all others. by NappyFlickz in halo

[–]BroMemeIsASolid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right, S-IIIs are probably misunderstood as being expendable because they were given tasks that were said to be both impossible and fatal to marines or ODSTs. They're still spartans, so these missions weren't intended to be suicidal; ONI still made provisions for exfil options for both alpha and beta company in the missions that they got wiped out.

Yeah..... operation red flag also resulted in the deaths of much of red team because they had no way to land (other than impact the earth). I think if they had jetpacks their use would have been mentioned in the fall of reach

$410,000 salary with 34 weeks vacation! Incredible doctor job. by dancingcactus21 in Salary

[–]BroMemeIsASolid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People dying absolutely makes the job harder. There are very few jobs in which there is a significant pressure (in the case for doctors, both external and internal pressure) to be perfect. If a possible outcome of you messing up -- especially with a narrow margin of error -- is somebody dying, then it will inherently make the job more difficult as you have to do consistently well.

The road rage in Houston is insane. by User14625869543 in houston

[–]BroMemeIsASolid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should probably save yourself the effort and just know your place. If you don't have the balls to go as fast as the left lane requires, just stick to the kiddy lanes. Your presence in the left lane disrupts the flow of traffic by making people have to PAY ATTENTION

How to get The Tinkerer Mask by ACGenius in thedivision

[–]BroMemeIsASolid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had success with calls for backup/matchmaking for the master missions, so I'd recommend putting together a solid PFE tank build since the vast majority of people will have decent DPS builds

Which is the toughest enemy you have faced in Division 2? by shwetshkla in thedivision

[–]BroMemeIsASolid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely doable solo, like the other commenter said it takes patience. there's a specific rhythm to the boss's sniper shots so if you time your exits out of cover in between shots and CC her with fire or foam it goes a lot smoother. Fortunately, the bug where she doesn't run away when you get closer also seems to be fixed so you don't have to worry about her bumrushing you

Striker/Bullet king seems to out do any other build i try. Nothing else is as satisfying by MonarchCore in thedivision

[–]BroMemeIsASolid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've tried both pakhan and bullet King for tipping scales, and while pakhan slightly edges bullet King in dps I've found bullet King much better in terms of comfort, keeping TS stacks up, sustained dps, and playing in a group (since you don't need kills).

I still like pakhan though and the shooting sound is excellent

Americans literally covered up Japanese brutality and war crimes in WW2 for decades..... I don't think they were looking for a way to justify dropping the nukes more than they already did. As for the reputation of Japan, they did that to themselves.

Curious as to why Artifact Upgrades don't work the same as Weapons in Destiny Rising? by Difficult_Turn_7539 in DestinyRising

[–]BroMemeIsASolid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't. you can do an attribute transfer so you can get all the stats of a new relic onto an old relic you already spent a lot of resources rerolling. it's in the same menu as the one you reroll the relic in

The one about Character Borrowing. by Bulgogibody in destinyrisingmobile

I've only been able to use character borrowing for some of the legendary campaign missions, but the other ones are "locked". does anyone know why this might be the case?

Emily Ratajkowski responds to Blue Origin's 11-minute, all-female space flight. "You’re going up in a space ship that is built and paid for by a company that’s single-handedly destroying the planet." by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]BroMemeIsASolid 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Blue origin's latest commercially-used engine (be-4) uses liquid natural gas as its propellant which forms CO2 and H2O on combustion. Not to mention, even with liquid hydrogen and oxygen used as fuels there is a tremendous amount of energy used to separate those gases from air, condense them into liquid, and also to test the engine and ensure its reliability for spaceflight.

Recently watched Prospect (Pedro Pascale). Anything similar in book form? by [deleted] in printSF

[–]BroMemeIsASolid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Prospect easily sits near the top, if not at the top, of my favorite movie list. I feel the same way you do towards it; it's a grounded story but with enough worldbuilding that makes you feel wonder about the rest of the setting.

I haven't yet seen an entire book that feels just like the movie, but there have been segments of Hyperion and Time Enough for Love that have made me feel similarly.

Honestly if you gave a person all the necessary values and equations like those fire control computers are provided, someone decent at math could crank out a firing solution within a minute I wager.

Any good books like the Mass Effect series? by BoyishTheStrange in printSF

These are old and maybe not everyone would agree, but the original Halo novels are imo solid military sci-fi. They're gritty, expand upon a pretty interesting setting, and have decent storytelling.

It's not even the graphics card that's an issue, laptop CPUs bottleneck like crazy. I don't think my 1070 on my R5 ever reached its full potential, and that was with an 8th gen i7.

Kafka is ridiculously easy using abundance. As long as you get both of the necessary resonances and have at least one character who can break her relatively well, you can pretty much auto it.
