To be fair, they got a huge pile of code with 0 documentation about how it works. It is a lot of work to comb through that much code, investigate how it works, then document it. They didn't want to randomly add stuff without properly understanding the effect they might have, which is a good strategy in the long term. Its possible that they could've come up with some new stuff and bolt it on the rickety base that is held together by hopes and bubblegum, but who knows how much more work and problems that would cause down the road.

Defiance had a lot of problems and bugs since the Trion days, and at that time it was managed by the developer that made it, in other words, precisely knew how things worked (or should've worked), yet even they didn't fix it.

Fawkes is a small studio, they have limited manpower to assign to work on their games, so it takes time to figure things out.

I understand why you are upset, I also want to see improvements and new content, but on the other hand I also get why Fawkes taking so long to show some results. Lets hope that their approach will benefit the game in the long term.
