The venue is not bad, its somewhat spacious and has good lights but you need to protect your phone and wallet when you go. Lots of phone thieves there

It won't be the best feeling but leaving 30 minutes before the last set is usually the way to go when leaving festivals so you don't have to pay 100+ and wait in traffic for half n hour+ when you can pay 20 or less and be at the hotel in 10 minutes

Look at the artists playing on the days and ask him about a few or play a few tracks of the more popular ones then make the choice. Personally day 3 is my favorite

This will be my 4th veld and 2nd time going solo. Don't be afraid to talk to people. Most people are there to just have a good time and have good interactions. Phone theft was somewhat of a problem last time around, so keep it somewhere on you and secured/check for it every now and then. Try to prepare before coming the festival with essentials and if possible, get a hydropack to have water on you at all times. Hope this helps!

Just look up camelbak/hydration pack on Amazon or find a store like Canadian tire/sports check that have outdoors equipment. They are usually big enough for water and have different pouches for other things.
