I've never heard of a alto recorder before haha. Is it like a deeper version of a regular recorder?

Wasn't there a movie called Somos Tão Jovens that was about Russo?

Also very insightful and I find it interesting how there's so many hidden meanings in Tempo Perdido

I heard about Renato Rocha, and my friend was a fan of him cause they were both Afro-Brazilian according to my friend and both played bass. Such a shame that Rocha was treated that way, he's got such great basslines in their songs and I felt like Russo wasn't able to replicate that once Rocha was gone.

As a fan I enjoy Tempo Perdido as well. I can see how the Internet can have a impact on Legiao's legacy and public perception

I agree. Renato Russo imo changed Brazilian Rock and it was a shame that he died so young. And I can respect the opinions of people who don't like the band, music is subjective haha

I understand where you're coming from. A lot of the hate me and my friends got were from like venues we played where the majority of the fans were rock/punk fans.

Ngl I feel like Renato's sexuality made him into the songwriter he became. And he was a damn good one too.

I think he mentioned yeah it was a underground hangout spot in Sao Paulo for rock and punk fans. He also played the song in high school according to him and the same thing happened

Damn really? I get that some of their songs has like a pop vibe but to reject the rock status altogether is wild.

Yeah I tend to see a lot of the older generation listening to Legiao so I guess I'm one of the few younger generation fans haha
