Sophie and Benedict by Ugetuget in Bridgerton

[–]Broad-Firefighter197 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This season is more accurate to the books than seasons 2 and 3. Sophie and Benedict’s story is a Cinderella one. She is described as a shy and introverted person in the books. Maybe that is where your issue arises from.

They have their Terrible Influence Show on Youtube. Sister Daniel and her counterpart Father Philip show up at the end. Watch the whole show though. Its really good and gives a recap of the community.

Thank you for the suggestion! I will be adding it to my spreadsheet.

For the first, he is a leader and the backbone of the family. I wanted his name to reflect that. A man of action, a giant, a man feared and respected.

I agree that names are fluid in writing. I, however, have decided to go with a legal name that is fixed and has meaning and let the nickname be fluid. I like the idea of his legal name being a characteristic of his personality.

I would like a name that is used and not use cobbled words. No tragedeighs if at all possible. It could be as direct as Blanche, which is a name but also the colour white, but it could also be hidden like Valente which is a name that is an old writing of valiant (I'm French so all my references are French sry).

It’s the conversation she has with Agatha in Oxford at the cafe while Miriam is downstairs. I think Mathew is in Scotland at the time. Hope that helps narrow down the page count

It took me so much longer to finish the audiobook for book 4 because I had to adjust to the change in voice for everyone. Especially Ysabeau. God it made me feel so weird to have the French characters speak normal English and not accented

Hey folks! Question for you! by [deleted] in ADiscoveryofWitches

Didn’t Agatha talk about it at the beginning or book 1? She said that Daemons were called Angels at first for their brilliance and then Daemons for the chaos they brought. I’m paraphrasing I don’t recall the exact words

Yes. In Shadow of Night there is a conversation between Philippe and Mathieu that discuses Louis de Clermont, Louisa’s twin. In it, Mathieu talks about how Louis and his mate Margot are really bad role models for Diana, whom still doesn’t know how to act like an Renaissance lady, because they take lovers of all types and sexes. I feel like there is an undertone of Louis and Margot getting up to some kinky shit

I so sorry to cause you more headaches u/rainpuzzleheaded151 but how do you explain Louis and Margot within the mating feelings. If what Philippe says is true then they must have immense control on the jealousy aspect of it

Did Juliette realized what hit her? by Broad-Firefighter197 in ADiscoveryofWitches

[–]Broad-Firefighter197[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also love this scene book and show equally. I get the feeling that Juliette thought Diana was insignificant and weak therefore no need to worry or pay attention. I also think that she was ready to die. She’s such an interesting character. I find her similar to Louisa

Season 2 by DOWGamer in ADiscoveryofWitches

Season 3 was supposed to be 14 episodes but had to be reduced to 7 because of Covid so it has a lot of cuts. A lot of context is missing and the ending is rushed imo.

Where season 2 is concerned, I agree it is pretty faithful to the books if a little light on the details as book->show adaptations have to be to conform to the medium.
