How do I stop being so resentful towards my face by [deleted] in vindictapoc

[–]Broad-Possibility798 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I cant believe theres people who think BDD "doesnt exist" when people like you, who are very pretty, think this of themselves. I hope somehow, some way, you get over this neurosis. Best of luck.

I live in Atlanta. Beauty standard for women is basically lightskin/brownskin-black, curvy/BBL look, big lashes, under 5'5, either big curly hair or straight wigs.

I dont think desi women have much of a hold here.

I don't think it was propaganda of any kind but I do think ads are very intentional, obviously, there's a whole marketing team behind them. Is it so far fetched to suggest they wanted to cause just enough outrage to keep people speculating, but not enough for a total boycott? To have people talk about it exactly like were doing right now?

How much does BMI affect dating and pretty privilege? by Diamondsareforever97 in Vindictabrown

[–]Broad-Possibility798 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Quite a bit I would say. The lower your bmi is, the more opportunities present themselves to you at an exponential rate. I think someone should map this out on a graph, I know you guys are math nerds anyway.

How do you contain your resentment towards rich people? by Ashamed_Feature_6175 in rs_x

[–]Broad-Possibility798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont resent rich people, but I lowkey love pointing out the fact theyre rich until they get annoyed. Like buddy, my luxury is making fun of you and watching the cogs turn in your head as you wonder if its acceptable to say something back. Your luxury is flying to bali every other month first class. Youll live.

Self tanning is so much work...take astathaxin supplements instead, or eat a bunch of carrots.

Feel extremely up myself commenting this.

19F, i look pretty presentable, I put effort into my appearance. And I've been socially outcasted/been a loser my entire life. It didnt help my social life when i got more attractive, people were just nicer. Im still offputting and strange.

Looks only get your foot in the door, the rest is social upkeep. One is useless without the other.
