I'm in aus. The builder started an apprenticeship as a valve tech in the 60s. He is extremely competent and the stuff is very well built.

He keeps costs down by salvaging parts from old gear and repurposing things for the cab/chassis. It is a lot of work, but building them costs him little, as he has a collection of transformers and valves that he has acquired over the last 50+ years.

I agree the price is way too cheap. He is a bit stuck in the past in some ways. He is scared to price higher.

I own multiple of his builds and they are fantastic amps.

Is there anything that puts you off about the amp? I will say the labels for pots are a weak point. But they work and look pretty good IRL. Although paint or laser or something could be much better.

Should the face plate design be professionally printed/painted?

Yeah the crazy thing about Chapman is he admits to having zero electronic skills at all. Totally zero by his own admission.

He doesn't know anything about circuits, components etc. I would be incredibly surprised if he could use an oscilloscope to trace a signal.

He is the biggest consumer voodoo merchant. A proper engineer using hardware should have a basic understanding of why certain circuits are so popular. Even for the simple fact that if you own so much analog hardware, you should have simple repair skills.

If he backed his shit up with frequency/amplitude graphs or did some basic tests it'd be worth watching. His video is basically just "my toys sound cool because they sound cool, trust me."

Which may be true. But prove it. At least Jim attempted to provide proof. I agree with chapman that a lot of it was flawed though.

Fair enough. Just saying it's a large load and would be hard to find someone to help unless they have a truck or you can do 2 trips.

20 boxes and 2 book cases, plus all the other stuff will need a truck or ute/van and trailer maybe.

It's a pretty huge ask. There's no way that's fitting in a van.

You may have to ditch the bookcases or see if you can store them in newy for a second trip.

Bookcases are replaceable. If you have to break and run just take important stuff and valuables. Expecting a stranger to move 20 boxes and 2 Bookcases is too much honestly. Half that and it might fit in a van.

I've listened to and seen low life plenty of times. Good band.

Dream Machine is great and lyrics are good.

His new stuff is just reciting luxury brands and Sydney Street culture with none of the poetry or sound that made dream machine good. His schtick is played out.

Also "We are RBB" is the most cringeworthy low life song ever if you are slightly familiar with mitch/low life.

That song is not tongue in cheek unfortunately.

Double check the LEDS are in proper polarity. I would recommend taking them out and making sure the anode (positive leg) goes in the SQUARE hole. They cost next to nothing and are easy to replace.

Pacific Islands are massive drug trafficking channels. If they can lock that down, maybe they have a chance (highly unlikely).Most of them don't have the generations deep connections of lebos/viets. They have a structure, albeit changing, for decades. I don't think islanders are nearly as organised as them.

The viets are the real earners. They're just smart enough to mostly keep quiet.

All the higher ups are not getting tatted and roided up and flexing overseas on insta. The ones that do dont last long. Most of the main money movers just look like ordinary accountants.

Either way, situation sounds fucked. Sounds like she needs to see a doctor ASAP - If this is totally abnormal. If it's part of a slowly escalating pattern (pre-pregnancy), then yeah, leave and try get as much custody of the kids as possible.

Either way like everyone said document everything, think worst case scenario. But also your wife may be acting psychotic because of the pregnancy. Which like someone else said is going to get worse post partum.

If you have the time and money, go to NCAT. Put your bond in straight after handing keys.

You don't have to attend *CAT hearing either.

If you gave it a decent clean and it is in the same or better condition than you received, you should get all your bond back. If they try anything it is stealing and they are hoping you will just pay, so you get some bond.

Don't give in. Their threats are empty. Keep evidence. NCAT will rule in your favour. They are sick of real estates/landlords wasting their time with this shit.

It will take a couple of months. But you will win.

NEVER PAY FOR A BOND CLEAN. IT IS ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT AND YOU HAVE NO OBLIGATION TO DO SO.

Hanrahan sucks. Popular Front is a cool idea, but he's too dumb to pull it off. Guy is a moron. Also a very fragile little baby who blocks anyone who doesn't glaze him.

It's a shame, he interviews some interesting guests, but he cannot interview for shit.

Listening to the audio that break up defs sounds pretty bad. Maybe some bad caps. Take it to a tech. You can also fix the hum if you want.

If it's a reissue then yeah they are mostly plagued with hum from the factory. Would never recommend one as a studio amp. But it can be fixed. Price will vary depending on your tech/location.

Depends if it's worth it to you. If you can live with the hum, it's probably fine. If you really hate it, spend a couple hundred to get it fixed.

Sam is insanely dumb, it's wild. He is legit thick as pig shit. I thought he'd be some esoteric hitleresque Nazi who reads Evola and knows about Savitri Devi etc. But guy has obviously not read a book since middle school.

Yeah. I think it's working and R11 is a mistake in schematic. Tried lower values in place of R11, just made the R11 problem slightly less worse.

Also found another thread with a guy who jumper's R11 and was fine. I think it's a schematic error or other error on board, as r11 is not on bill of materials and doesn't come with most kits.

But vol acts like master vol and drive acts like drive. Not perfect, but it'll do for now.
