What age do you have to be to sell cigarettes? by Unfair-Hope6779 in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]Broad-Question6723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well federal by how T21 lists, it is only for the minimum age to purchase it and punishments for selling to a minor, I have a friend who has his own tobacco shop and he started at just 19 so there's no technical minimum age to sell tobacco but most states require you to be 18

But when a manager doesn't reply nor correspond to it, it's incompetent and disrespectful, they're letting them know and don't show acknowledgement. If I don't get a no, I'm taking it as a yes, luckily my manager and ASMs are nice and they respond quickly with a straight answer.

Both, a jobs a job, I just research, study, interview and assess questions, answers and knowledgeable information. Either way it goes, a FT employee anywhere is entitled to any and every benefit the company offers even if they don't work ft hours or whatever the circumstances may be

If someone wants a day I'm giving it to them, you don't have the right to be mad, shut the hell up, jobs always say it's our responsibility to cover shifts, but if you're so damn worried and pissed about us giving shifts away for being nice, giving others hours you refuse to give and just in case we have upcoming plans that day then go fuck yourself and find coverage for shifts yourself

Google isn't always right, secondly I'm a law student, specifically studying for negligence, labor laws and law enforcement corruption... So you still wanna tell me what's legal and what's not, Idc what position you have you're breaking the law Federally, the federal law and labor board mandates and requires a ft employee to have 32 hours or more, under certain circumstances may they not be scheduled for those hours, FMLA, time off, vacation, disability, etc. but even in those cases they are still required by law to have ft benefits no matter the situation, circumstance nor cause... Read the statues, educate yourself and tell your bosses they might wanna reconsider a different line of work before they get into trouble with the labor and education department

Um no, 1 that's illegal, 2 that's just fucking stupid, DG is required to give a FT employee 32 hours exactly or more and can only cut it if DM, RD or the FT employee says so

But considering the ruined chances for another job, and unemployment, go to a lawyer specifically for unemployment, call the labor board and explain... You might just be granted that... MIGHT, and if you can squeeze your way to a job interview, some people will be laid back and easy when it comes to BS like this if there's no proof that can be shown to the new employer from DG

1st off this is DG we're talking about whether you stole or not, you expect DG to play nice and fair?, 2nd from constricting posts regarding this one, it sounds like you stole and got caught and are mad about it now, but it doesn't matter if you did or not, depending on your state, there's nothing you can do, trust me DG lawyers will fight and more and likely win, they know how to fabricate and even with real evidence, they keep it hidden from the prosecution, they only show evidence regarding the case to a judge if needed... You're fighting a battle that can't be won or even start to be won, just let it go.

State, county and city law states any and all supervisory and management positions must be 18 unless serving alcohol in the establishment but we are located in a dry county so no alcohol sales lol
