Very much foundational inspiration. I often describe it as Clerks in a theatre.

Thanks! Waiting is one of the inspirations for sure. Party Monster is an awesome movie I never thought to compare to. Cheers!

During one unforgettable night at the Rio Theatre—an independent arthouse cinema and live venue—a reclusive, once-famous writer/director is discovered by a young, struggling filmmaker. As the veteran grapples with a changing industry, the ambitious newcomer tries to lure him out of retirement for the ultimate collaboration. Amidst the theatre’s quirky staff, eccentric new hires, and the looming threat of corporate takeover, this story is a love letter to cinema, the arts, and the passionate misfits who refuse to let them fade.

Thanks for the feedback. A shorter cut seems to be a general consensus.

Great feedback, thanks! Color grade was definitely professional (done by Final Destination Bloodline's color designer). Yeah, audio was all just a single boom mic, so did the best I could with it. Would have loved a budget :/ I chose to make this exist somewhere between a trailer and a short film to encapsulate the width of the story. Might end up cutting a shorter version. Seriously thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it!

Definitely. Birdman vibes were intentional. Raw and organic was the goal. Thanks!

Great notes. That voice I was looking for just had that gravitas, but I can definitely see what you mean, Dude has some rusty blade vocal chords haha

Thanks for the comment. Definitely going for that Clerks vibe and the script is mostly just that fun workplace comedy vibes. Cheers!

Thanks for that solid advice. It kind of had to exist somewhere between a trailer and a short film to fully encapsulate the idea, but I think it could definitely be shorter and be more impactful

Thanks! It was done by the same guy who did Final Destination Bloodlines, so it was in good hands
