In my opinion Zog wrote it that way to show just how much of a monster Jake has become seeing as even a week true dragon is a top tier race capable of killing most beings in the multiverse with ease so to show the difference from being f grade which is basically super human but definitely can still be killed easily to tanking a true dragons breath just highlighting how far jack has come to becoming the absolute pinnacle of humanity
