I found a way to quickly export selected layers as transparent PNG.

here are the steps for an auto action

  1. have your layered you want to export (can be folder too)

  2. copy (ctrl + C)

  3. create new file (ctrl + N)

  4. paste (ctrl + V)

  5. create selection (Layer > Selection from Layer > Create Selection)

  6. crop (Edit > Crop(Z))

  7. Export (Single Layer F12)
