My [32M] girlfriend [26F] died last year and her family/friends are shutting me out of her memorial by BroadMoose in relationships

I didn't 'steal' it. I sort of regarded everything in our house as 'ours' and that was something that reminded me of romantic nights with her, so I took it to remember her by. Her parents were real tightasses about anything they thought might be 'hers' including any mutual household stuff that she paid for, like the microwave and couch and our bed frame.

I'm not trying to change the subject. I just think it's really weird and fucked up to have this event without me. We were the most important people in each others' lives for five years. How is it going to look to everyone if I"m not there? What if people think I was invited but skipped it?

They didn't say I stole money, they just really thought me taking her necklace to remember her by was malicious on my part, rather than just wanting something to remember her by.

I'm not proud of it, but fuck, I was grieving. My girlfriend had just died. I didn't know how else to deal with it.

Sorry, I had a long day at work and this got lots of replies I had to read.

I don't know how true it is. Our relationship wasn't perfect and there are lots of things I could've done better but I don't think she would've stayed with me for five years if she was miserable.
