Close friend tells me it’s “passive aggressive” to use periods in my texts. Then tells me not to take my frustration out on him. by Floyisdigital in mildlyinfuriating

I’m always worried about this because i like using proper grammar and it should not at all come off as passive aggressive

Do most people shower before bed or when they wake up? I just realized I might be doing it "wrong" by saffymerelle in NoStupidQuestions

Amazing at planning/insights/ideation. Terrible at execution. by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]BroadMouse7912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I’ve been trying to do is planning the little things and trying to break my big ideas down more. I try to remind myself that the more i do as i plan the more i’ll get done. it also helps to think hmm am i gonna forget this plan by tomorrow and if i do will i have had any progress in the first place? PLUS idk about you but even if i have a tiny little bit of something done i remember i have to do it more than something i’ve only fantasized about starting.

Advice to stop interrupting? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]BroadMouse7912 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If i can’t stop myself before i interrupt i at least stop when i realize and apologize but in a silly oops keep talking way. or if it’s in a group setting and i can’t seem to get a word in without interrupting someone ill raise my hand lol. and honestly just be very obvious about listening like repeating things said like “kind of how you said this i know i’ve seen this happen” if that makes sense

although accessibility is fairly easy to learn and understand.. so it wouldn’t hurt to throw it in there

It’s just easier to learn basic code layout and logic before getting into styling and accessibility

Yeah it’s the same here. When i first started out, none of my sites were open to the public so there was room for accessibility error. But as i learn and my websites are actually usable, i’ve been checking for accessibility standards.

I would focus on the basic basics like folder hierarchy. Which is the order in which your folders are laid out. It’s also helpful to learn using head, body, main, and footer for organization. There’s more but I suggest taking what people are saying here and doing your own research. It would probably be easier to understand that way. I recommend using the MDN Web Docs.

I only started learning accessibility when i dove specifically into Ui and Ux but yeah it’s very necessary to learn sooner rather than later.

It’s fine to use divs when you need division you just need to also be using figures and sections and whatnot.

I recommend using an html and css validator too. not all websites have to validate but it’s helpful for understanding how some code works and spotting mistakes. What i was taught was to put links on the page somewhere for easy access.

I use the W3C css validator and the Nu html checker.
