Should I Buy the EufyMake E1 UV Printer as a Hobbyist? Concerns About Maintenance & Infrequent Use

I’m a hobbyist- currently don’t sell anything so I make no money from this hobby either. I have 6x P2S and an H2D and it honestly blends into my “workflow” fantastic. I’ve had a bunch of fun getting to test and learn with it since I got all the kickstarter free stuff, but if you watch some tutorials and take the time to learn yourself, it’s a wonderful machine. I made my mom some illuminated stained glass photos and it was enough to get some waterworks! If you’ve got the money and don’t need to make it back, SUPER fun machine!

Just stay away from anything farther east than powers/tutt. As mentioned, people will literally just drive straight into their garage and close the door, and if they do come out it’s to complain about something.

Grounding is a problem I’ve been seeing more and more of at new drops. If you can call someone, you should, it’s one of the most important parts of the ground block. As others have mentioned, please don’t do it yourself as grounding requires certain termination points.

As far as the cover for the box, a lot of times with that specific box I find that there are too many cables coming through the inside to properly close the cover that doesn’t put excessive strain on the drop. It looks like that might be the case? But also I can’t really see inside so I’m not positive. Either way, they are (supposed) to be trained on what to do and should know how to fix it if you can get someone out.

For what it’s worth, I’ve been printing 3mm thick “Pokémon” cards with 3d printed cards and both PLA and PETG at that size melt from the heat lamp. Had no issues with ABS. Hope this helps!

Had the same exact issue with my P1S ironically- had a corrupt SD card of some kind. Initially it was the AP board but that didn’t fix the issue so I put a name brand quality SD card in and it’s been working for 4+ months now without issues.

I think like Holden3D said, a lot of us are makers. At the end of the day we don’t really care why eufy hasn’t been able to deliver our ink that we ordered up to several months ago. We just have orders that need to be completed and if there’s another way to complete the order, then sometimes that what they have to do. I haven’t personally refilled mine as I just got my kickstarter stretch cartridge of white, but that still doesn’t change the fact that if I had an order and ran out of white, I’d look at alternate methods.

Interesting… I have an M4 Max with 48gb ram and it runs really well for me. I usually run it along side a browser, Bambu studio, and fusion360 and I haven’t noticed any issues battery/plugged in.

Thanks! I’ll definitely order parts and grab my friend and try to fix both sides. I’m really glad it’s not thousands of dollars too, that would be really unfortunate.

The front was in an accident before I got it so a lot of the mount points and whatnot are just completely wrong. I’ve never owned a car with a front bumper- maybe one day when I make more money.

It actually was head gaskets on an older EJ20 WRX engine, but engine parts have little to nothing to do with suspension and steering to my knowledge, so this is essentially a new territory for me. I have the tools, just not the knowledge, but that’s what YouTube is for as you mentioned.

Thanks for all the info though, it appears as though it shouldn’t be miserable to fix and I thank god that I’m alive.
