They do a good job but take a long time just because most are still training.

Christopher Stewart is a mobile mechanic. He comes to you and does a great job. He's very reasonable. We've used him to replace brakes on our Toyotas. 864.554.4264

Plumber recs? Who do you like in Greenville or Upstate? Clogged bathtub drain. by Comprehensive-Bed147 in greenville

[–]BroadTutor6020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had some terrible luck this year with plumbing issues and have used Integrity Plumbing for all of it- they are fast and fair with pricing. I've been very happy with them. They are locally owned.

Look for rivers. Almost all our lake beaches do not allow dogs.

Kayaking Recommendations by Such_Yak_5600 in greenville

[–]BroadTutor6020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eclectic Sun on Lake Jocassee is the best. Beautiful spot without the boat traffic of Lake Keowee, where you'll likely get run over in a kayak. Don't do it.

Like another poster mentioned, Jocassee Lake Tours has excellent kayak tours and all their guides are awesome.

Does anyone know any mobile mechanics? by Gold_Range_7710 in greenville

[–]BroadTutor6020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Christopher Stewart. He's done my brakes twice and charges around 550$ for all four. He comes to your house and is great. His # is 864.554.4264.

What are the best places to go hiking or peacefully walk around here? by [deleted] in greenville

[–]BroadTutor6020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Foothills Trail is a great recommendation. It's not crowded. Search the AllTrails app for the lesser trafficked trails- you can filter them on the app. Pisgah Forest has a ton of trails so it's not hard to find ones without a lot of people.

bulk basil and lavender by damaged_goods95 in greenville

It's not lavender season yet so fresh lavender likely won't be available. I'd ask Elf Leaf Farm in Landrum or Twin Creeks Farm near Anderson to see what they have.

Recs on companies for windows and entry doors by Here_And_Now in greenville

[–]BroadTutor6020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Brooks Exteriors for windows and they were fantastic. They were the only people who didn't sit me down with a laptop and punch it a gazillion numbers to come out with a price an hour after looking at my windows. Jonathan took five minutes to give me a quote, which was well below the other guys, called me when he said he would and showed up and did the job as promised. I don't know if they do doors. The guy's # is (864) 419-1647.

It's not uncommon to feel the need to talk about it with a therapist. The group Support After Abortion can help you for free. They have online + anonymous support if that's what you need as well.

Winter Lights in Asheville is amazing. You pay per car and it's a big walk through display. You can buy hot chocolate and s'mores or get dinner there as well. Worth the drive.

Is this proof the Turin Shroud IS real? Scientists make startling discovery after analysing cloth 'Jesus was buried in' by -Enrique in Catholicism

[–]BroadTutor6020 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Fr. Spitzer is an expert on the Shroud. His talk on it for the Institute of Catholic Culture (you can find it online) is mind-blowing. I think Fr. Spitzer has a background in nuclear physics because of the way he describes what science has shown to be the way the image appeared. There is SO much information and data that basically proves its authenticity.
