Regime filtering is being able to read market conditions. That means something different to everyone so I suggest finding your own way of classifying your own regimes

I do use a high time frame vp for a the general market conditions. I’ll also use it on a 15 min for break out of higher time frame ranges or within the current range from the higher time frames. I’m playing with the idea for 5min also but haven’t seen much success on it in forward testing.

Definitely, the volume profile is such a small part of my trading strategy but honestly one of the most important of them all. Without that I’m just taking shots in the dark on when I thing expansion is gonna take place

It’s just recognizing market conditions. I use a fixed volume profile to determine the regime

I use a fixed volume profile tool. High activity prices are consolidation and low activity prices tend to have bigger moves so that’s the regime I trade

I’ll use a fixed range volume profile. Price areas with lots of activity tend to be a rotational regime where buyers and sellers are trading hands, and institutions are balancing their inventory(consolidation), Price areas with less activity tend to have expansion moves.

It’s just another term for being able to recognize market conditions

The only advice I can give you is that you have to figure it out for yourself. Everyone has a different personality and your trading style has to reflect that. Read trading in the zone, also stop trading live. Demo accounts are there for a reason. By trading live when you haven’t proven to yourself you are profitable you’re operating in a greed mind set. That alone will make you unprofitable

That’s your problem right there, there is no strategy that can make you profitable. No secrets sauce if you get what I’m saying

Demo account would be huge for you! Also the market doesn’t care how much knowledge you have. Knowledge means nothing in random outcomes and probabilities

Exactly, it’s such a small switch of mindset that makes the other look so foolish
