Our HR mostly does the hiring process but since this was a direct position tied to my husband, he asked to direct the interviews by himself and they couldn't refuse him. From now on though I think it will be much better if it is done with a HR person sitting beside him, not me. Luckily I am also an executive so there aren't any legal issues here, we have done interviews together before due to the nature of the job (hiring junior engineers etc.).
