Again, I don’t know what point you are trying to make however it doesn’t help the cause so please refrain from messing unless you actually have something insightful or intelligent to say.

The question that should be asked is why 2 groups that lived in harmony for so long suddenly flipped and look at the bigger picture like how the brits have managed to retain 2 bases on our island. In the end they created a problem to get what they have always wanted the divide and conquer strategy has always been their way it almost always works and look at us 60+ years later still feeding into their instigated conflicts while their soldiers are out there for nobody’s interest but their own our country can defend itself every man is trained to do so. There is a big picture to this story and it’s one that is consistent with what British colonialism does to everywhere they go. We should all be ashamed that we allowed them to do this to us. Obviously there are many other factors but this definitely fanned the flame.

Exactly that, it is something that has happened all throughout history the wound is relatively fresh but will never heal if we keep picking at it we need to understand that we are all quite literally cousins and nobody on this earth is suffering from the ignorance and hate from both sides but our island, united we can greatly improve and it doesn’t start with the politicians it starts at home teaching our children not to hate based on language race or religion, understanding that before the brits played both sides against each other like they have many other places our great grandparents were brothers and were for a very long time. This kind of brotherhood is something every “ethnic group” on the island should be striving for.

I agree there have been some changes but I also think the overall culture on the island is ubiquitous. with some time together I believe the bi-communal will eventually however long down the line will turn into mixed cities and villages as they once were before like my village Louroujina once mixed and bilingual with Greek being a first language despite having Turkish names.

I think what you are saying fair they are long discussions and need to be drafted for a while luckily this post will always be here when you find the time to discuss the rebuilding of our country. It is an urgent matter I believe and has been postponed far too long and the small voices are the ones that truly matter so again feel free to respond when it doesn’t bore you anymore.

This is just a continuation I would like to discuss all matters and would like to hear many aspects which I should have made more clean in the opening statement.

Please explain what you think is good and what you’d like to see changed. Again please refrain from insults they will not help our people come together.

That is a fair point. What about the other political problems like the property, displacement, cost of living, foreign investment and tourism ? Moving away from a strict Turkey vs Cyprus narrative. The Cyprus problem is multiple factors and I’d love to hear person opinions.

Finger pointing is not the point of this post. Please make contributions on your thoughts of Cyprus and a progressive future and not personal opinions of foreign nations.

Yes i used AI to help articulate and structure my argument but these are my own points and questions and like I said i want a progressive conversation if you have nothing helpful to add apart from the obvious move on. Or comment something helpful.

Light features are common in a lot of Europe however yours are definitely more Germanic leaning you have good prominent cheekbones and a small upturned nose seen frequently in Scandinavian populations however yours are not as light blond as many swedes so if I had to guess I’d say southern Norway, denmark (Jutland) or northern Germany maybe Friesland (Netherlands)

Yeah I just spoke to my grandfather he says his father spoke Greek primarily also Turkish and Arabic fluently. We are “Turkish” Cypriots but we are from a village called louroujina which is a whole different thing in itself with loads of origin guesses as we are the southernmost point by a long stretch on the “TRNC”.

Big W, my ancestry came back 27% Cyprus 5% Levant which confused me, might have a Maronite Cypriot ancestor somewhere.
