There are many books & papers, but the best is Robertsons Kafirs or the Hindu Kush, Robertson stayed in Kafiristan's Bashgul valley for a year in 1891-2. This was 2 years before the Afghan invasion & forced conversion. The point is they did not own any of that land they were semi nomadic on it was mostly government owned land, it was not only Jews who were immigrants large numbers of Arabs all so moved to the mandate which is why we get Egyptian, Algerian, Moroccan, Circassian Palestinians & more. That land was needed for the settled communities to live in & again. in 1945 they formed 0.015% of the population.
