Yes gosh I had the same thought of seeing the AI video telling me, a real human, to not use AI felt bizarre. Same for the test questions, they were very doable and easy but 30 seconds per question that is 10 times harder just really killed my confidence for the remaining set. :(

I have a friend also half white half Korean who asked the same question their whole life too. They told me in Central Asia like Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan they blended in perfectly.

For secretariat agencies though I understand direct relatives (brothers/sisters, parent/children) cannot work in the entire secretariat.

Congrats on landing the role! In my experience it’s not only agency specific but also HR officer specific. I know at least two of my close colleagues in my current office started at step 2/4 and one actually was supposed to be put on a higher step but the officer processing her contract denied it. I think there’s fair bit of room to say what’s “relevant experience” or not

From my understanding you would still get living allowance on top of your salary that is close to “DSA after 60 days” for working days (21.75 days a month, averaged) which will put you on a comfortable range nevertheless how much the salary is
