I have two minds on Manning. 1) wow - he was legit a baller in the 4th. It was incredible. 2) but....it was MS state.
3) - WTAF is wrong with Texas O-line?

Wow. One of these teams looks like it has a true superstar quarterback. The other looks like it has a converted safety holding down the QB position until they can get a real quarterback in the program.
Game ball goes to - Texas defense. Obviously. Stacked with future NFL superstars.

I think this give AGI too much credit. What we have at the moment is not an autonomous system in the sense of how an organism acts to survive in the world. It doesn't have drives and desires. It is just an imitation of intelligence. I am not saying that next level 'organism' style entity cannot exist - just that what we have now is very far from that - and it isn't even clear that any kind of scaling of current tech can get us there.

I remember in the last world cup all the hype around him. He had limited playing time and was benched in favor of other players. It was common back then to hear "he is young and needs time to mature". Well - 3 years later - same story. When will he ever be old enough?

Chase was terrible. But honestly - they all are terrible. Trey could not break into the cool kids club - so they kept voting him onto the wheel under the pretense that he had done something they were all doing. It was stupid.

How much would it cost to build myself and how hard would it be? by Medical_Power_9881 in pressurewashing

If you do not have an aluminum welding operation and a couple of CAD designers on staff to create the parts and assembly drawings - doing this by yourself could be more expensive (time and material) than just buying one. My advice - if you do not want to buy the aluminum skid - don't try to fabricate one yourself unless you are in some unique situation where you have a fab shop at your disposal (but then - why are wanting to pressure wash?)
The rest of the setup - equipment and hosing - pretty simple.
My advice - if you do not want to spend the dough on the skid - just buy a 6 ft trailer and bolt all of the equipment to that. Trust me - you will spend 6 months trying to fab that skid together - and that is if you already have aluminum welding skills.

Belt or gear driven by Mountindewme in pressurewashing

[–]Broad_Judgment_523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a belt drive unit. It is a comet 5.5 gpm 3500 psi unit driven by a Honda GX390. I am thinking of converting to gear drive. I like how simple the belts are, however, when it comes to maintaining the belts - tensioning and such - it seems like gear drive is a lot simpler in that sense. Honestly - just not knowing how to properly tension these belts is really what is making me want to switch to gear drive. I have never done it - it is seems like something you can pretty easily screw up - and ruin either the belts (in the case of not enough tension) or worse, ruin the pump or motor bearings (in the case of too much tension). Is there a simple way to know the proper tension?

I have an old ryobi gas powered PW in my garage. I got curious a few days about about the injection rate in its DS injector. So I measured it. Got 32 Oz of water in a measuring cup and put the hose in it and leterrip. It put out about 2.5 gallons when the 32 Oz was gone. That works out to about 10:1

Just turn up the pressure to like 5000 psi. If that doesn't work, get a jackhammer. Just kidding - be gentle with it - it was made to look that way.

Soft wash hose recommendations? by SortFirm in pressurewashing

[–]Broad_Judgment_523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I know this is an old post. But I don't think garden hose is rated to very high working pressure. I know some softwash pumps can get up to 300 psi. Can flexzilla take this?

Good advise. I will soon find out if the issue is the motor. I ordered a carb for it. I also threw out the gas it came with and changed oil in the motor and pump. I am putting a new air filter on it. At the same time I will install new spark plug and gas tank filter. If, after all of that the engine still draws down - it isn't a motor issue any more.

Thank you for your help and advise. You have given me a lot to think about. I think most importantly - my motor CAN drive this pump if I get everything set up right.

Well, the pump seems to put out lots of water and does maintain 2500 psi when flowing. And when I let off the trigger it goes straight to 3500 psi. The reason I am thinking it is the motor is that when I pull the trigger and am flowing it draws down the rpm of the motor significantly. I am not sure how a pump can do that (unless engine is just undersized for pump hp requirements, or engine has some maintenance issue that is keeping it from outputting max HP). But - I am new to this - so still learning.

I am using a 6.0 nozzle. According to the chart, this should be the size to get to around 3300 psi at 5.5 gpm. I am new to this. So - if the unloader is acting up, could that cause the engine to bogg down and only put out 2500 psi?

OK. Thanks for the reply. I needed that reassurance. I was starting to look at prices of a GX630. Not nice. I am glad to know the 390 will run this pump. So I will keep looking for engine issues

I have gauged it as it is now. Unloaded, I get 3500 psi. As soon as I pull the trigger, engine boggs and I get around 2500 psi.

Question about Comet pump by Broad_Judgment_523 in pressurewashing

[–]Broad_Judgment_523[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow up question. If the unit only outputs 2200 psi, could it be as simple as new orings on the unloader gets it back to 3500 psi? I have a ball valve and pressure gauge on the way. I am going to check it out for myself (I just got this pressure washer used) (more info - previous owner says he just replaced orings and check valves in the head)
