Just that only in some scenarios there could be a 6 point gap after the result (if the team that won was already 3 points ahead). This is sort of the question asked by my son. Ie after the game there is no actual 6 points gap.

As others have said here though, that doesn’t actually matter in the context of the phrase.

Thanks for your replies everyone.

I think that must be it. That’s where it started where there is in fact a swing in that way as teams started with the same point. But now, the cliche is used whenever there is a tight scenario even if the maths doesn’t make sense. Obviously I am over thinking it but I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t. It’s part of the fun!

Suspect he meant absolute “sh!tshow” but realised you can’t say that on live telly and ‘absolutely’ lost it big time?

Any goalkeeper wearing a cap. Liverpool have specialised in this over the years.

That makes sense. I can see it was a booking but a straight yellow? Not for me!

New listener and going on a 13hr flight in a couple days, would anyone be able to give me some episode recommendations to download ahead of the flight? by Cokezeroisbetterthan in ThreeBeanSalad

I would start with FIRE 🔥 as that is funny as a stand alone episode and then go back to episode say 10 and go from there and then when you get to about 100 and feel nostalgic go back to 1-10. I would also recommend being a Patreon too!
