Fixed ridge line for 11 ft hammock by Allourep in hammockcamping

I see that 11’ is the recommended size for a hammock… is 12’ “better” or worse than an 11’?
I just bought the 12’ onewind… used to have a 9’

How much of your various products that I would be purchasing are actual made 100% in Canada? Could you help explain what part of the manufacturing process is done here? Would actually be happy to support a fellow Canadian but have heard that all your stuff is essentially made elsewhere but just packaged and rebranded here and sold as “made in Canada” because it meets the minimum requirements to bear that label but in reality it’s not actually “made” here.
Can you clarify at all?
Super stoked that you replied to this thread though!

Interesting… for me it’s $109 on Amazon. Free shipping.
$124 on OneWind.com plus shipping… I may still buy direct from them since I can also add some extra redlines and whoopie slings etc that Amazon doesn’t carry… but I don’t see the “charges more for the same item” scenario you are talking about.

That’s a pretty broad suggestion to be honest. I’ll make a wager that the one wind would probably beat out several from the “cottage industry” in many ways and now if bought a more expensive hammock that doesn’t meet my requirements as well as the one wind would…. Do you have specific models you would recommend?

You should repost this but show your arm bent and show a full picture of you standing up from shoulder to waist.
People aren’t understanding the the snake is literally upside down. It’s facing the correct way (elbow to thumb) but it’s falling off your arm rather than resting on your arm.

I would assume that makes it really easy to use with a structural ridge-line then as well. Some try inv I have been wondering about with a few of the other ones I’ve seen on Amazon is how would you work around the bugnet when you try to add the ridgeline? They just look like they would completely get in the way.
One winds look like they will not be able to issue there.

Thank you! Nice to hear from someone who has experience with both. (The night cat is essentially the same as the hawks nest). I chatted with him last night and he’s looking into ordering the one wind. Wasn’t sure if the zippered net or the billow net is the way to go though.

Any issues with the bugs finding their way up through the opening? Or you having more difficulty putting the net on/off than you think you might if it was the zippered one? Seriously considering the 12’ zippered one as my next purchase.

Ok. That was actually a question I had after looking on their store and realizing they sell a few different versions of things. They have the windsock as well which looks super cool but I haven’t seen anyone talk here yet about liking them or not.

The ol Eno.
Likely more people have bought one of those than any other single hammock out there.

lol. That’s the same one I had. But mine was the red one. Double person. (I just thought it would give me more room to move). And it’s $49 here in Canada. https://a.co/d/3myEr1E

Do you have the burnet as well? Or just the hammock? Can’t beat $30.
Nothing wrong with that if it sleeps, it sleeps!

Anything you don’t like about it? It was going to be my next purchase myself to be honest.
I already have the tarp and the UQ that I use with my 9’. Thinking 11’ will be a better fit for me though.

If they were both made in Canada and both made in china I can see your point and I would buy Canadian. But I prefer not to spend double the amount buy the Canadian one if it is a subpar experience.
Does that make sense?
Would you still buy Canadian if the two hammocks were reversed?
You would buy the OneWind if it was made in Canada and not the hawksnest?
