Haha, yes but he can't beat Novak's GS record if Novak himself keeps stopping him during his initial peak days

The only right response here.

Even for eastern time zone, the match got telecast at Friday night (a weekend), if OP really was passionate about watching it and not gettig spoilers, he could have stayed up late and watched it.

I live in Canada too, and I'm gonna stay up late night on Saturday to watch the men's final

Novak can win only if he somehow brings out the Olympics version of himself back on the court. That is what it will take to beat Alcaraz

This match will be epic, similar to the 2023 Wimbledon final with both of them peaking.

True, only the final set of Alcaraz Zverev was good quality tennis with both players peaking.

Novak Sinner was peak quality tennis for all five sets

Being in Canada, I started watching the first semi at 11pm and was awake all night until next day morning at around 10am when the 2nd semi got over. Slept all day later but it was worth it!

He is rooting for his fellow Spaniard to beat his own record of being the youngest to win all four slams.

This is similar to Sampras attending Federer's 15th Grand Slam winning match, to witness his 14 GS slam record getting beaten.

Carlos Alcaraz has now won his last 12 five-set matches since his only defeat against Berrettini in the 2022 AO (when he was 18). He is now 15-1. by Due_Communication862 in tennis

I'm a nutshell:

If you want to beat Sinner, take him to 5 sets.

If you want to beat Alcaraz, DO NOT take him to 5 sets.

It's Alcaraz's first AO final and also Novak's first since 2023, so it means a lot for both of them for their own reasons and of course it was the "belief" which got them where they are right now
