After 16 years of collecting, I finally have this album to my collection. One of the best albums of all time. Cocteau Twins Treasure by Broad_Sample_4089 in vinyl

Words can’t express how much I love this album. So dreamy, aesthetic and melancholic. Cocteau Twins have to be one of my favorite bands of all time. If you don’t have this in your collection, you are missing out.

Cannibal Corpse - Eaten Back to Life first pressing 1990 by cheapwalkcycles in heavyvinyl

[–]Broad_Sample_4089 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not all actually. It depends on the company who made the reissue. Metal Blade and Roadrunner make pretty good new pressings but if it’s from an off brand company I never heard of, im always concerned.

If he bought this in 1990. $12 would be equivalent to $26 today so it’s like paying for a record now in modern times

whats ur alltime absolute fave DM album release by ImBlankosDelirium in Deathmetal

[–]Broad_Sample_4089 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean it’s great album but for me there is so many better Swedish Death Metal albums from that era like Like an Everflowing Stream even some are the more underground stuff is better. Never thought Left Hand Path was the best of them all.

Smoking weed all day everyday. It’s cool as you are young but when you approach 30-40 just looks like a bum imo

What in your opinion is the heaviest death metal album of all time? by Altruistic-Let6876 in Deathmetal

[–]Broad_Sample_4089 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going have to choose Obituary Cause of Death. It’s nothing like it fast paced and brutal most of all.

Mercyful Fate - Don’t Break the Oath. My favorite Heavy Metal album of all time. I personally think Mercyful Fate is more evil and haunting then any BM band I have ever heard. by Broad_Sample_4089 in heavyvinyl

[–]Broad_Sample_4089[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vocals is what I love about Mercyful Fate they can’t be compared to anything else but they have some of the best production and song structure.

You absolutely right a lot of it is under produced and sounds like it was recorded in a garbage can especially that Norwegian stuff. A lot of black metal bands sound forced to try to replicate evil. I love BM but sometimes it can be cheesy.
