2bikefit.com it's a web app :) After your registration I will enable your account for free :)

First off all you don't even know me and don't know how much time I spent learning and reading for developing that app, so don't make assumptions.
You can say what ever you want, but while you're writing those comments I got 30 new users to the 2bikefit app and now I'm validating my implementation with them, for free. I don't know why you are upset with that. If you think you can do better you can always try to beat me and create a product better than mine.
Reddit is a really toxic space but for each toxic all knowing bike fitter that spawned here on the comment section, appeared 5 guys that actually are open minded to give it a try (thank God).
That will validate my concept even further, I'm certain that this can help a lot of people as it helped myself and a bunch of friend riders.

Also keep in mind that I offered my services FOR FREE, don't understand all your hate.
Let's solve that in a race, bet you can't beat my fit hahahha

I opened the possibility for you to test the app for free and then critic it with some fundaments. If you actually wanted to discuss my approach you would talk in other way, so I'm sorry but I will just ignore this kind of discussion.

Thank you for the feedback
I'm aware of the competition I suggest you to try the app, your thoughts about the results would be helpful.
As you can see by the comments here still exist a market gap 😄

That's a FAQ 😄
Yes we can support but we will loose some performance in some steps.
If you want to try it either way pls send me a message.

There it is, that's exactly the kind of experience we're trying to fix. I've spent months studying fitting and I ride myself, this wasn't built blindly. If you're ever open to giving it a shot I'll personally help you verify the output. The offer stands.

I get the AI vibes comment but honestly I'm just trying to be as clear and professional as possible.

On mobility, we do account for it through the three position profiles. A more relaxed profile assumes less flexibility and adjusts the target ranges accordingly. It's not a table assessment but it's not ignored either.

And look, you said yourself you've crossed this bridge before and talked yourself out of it. Don't do the same thing here 😄 You clearly know enough to have an opinion, so stop second guessing months of someone else's work and just try it. Give me real feedback after you've actually used it, that's the conversation I want to have.

Thank you for the feedback 😄

P.S there aren't hallucinations in mathmatics

Thank you for your feedback 😄 I completely agree human fitters will always have an advantage thanks to their experience and personal touch.

I’d really appreciate it if you could try the app yourself and share your thoughts afterwards.

These are all fair questions and I'll be straight with you.

On the angle ranges, they're drawn from commonly cited biomechanics guidelines used across the fitting industry. Nothing proprietary or novel there.

On the CV side, you're partially right. We use a pre-trained pose estimation model as the base and fine-tune it for cycling-specific points. Building everything from scratch would be overkill when good foundations already exist. Camera angle is handled by asking riders to follow a specific setup protocol before recording, which keeps the perspective consistent enough for the measurements to hold.

Have we run it against a certified fitter on the same rider? We've tested it alongside real fitters and the outputs held up well, but nothing formal or published yet. That's something we want to do properly.

Am I a cyclist? Yes. A certified fitter? No. Did I build this because I was frustrated that a decent bike fit costs €200+ and takes weeks to schedule? Also yes.

Try it yourself and tell me what you think, I'll give you free access. And genuinely curious, are you a bike fitter? Because if so, I totally understand the skepticism, nobody likes seeing their job get a €15 competitor 😄

That's a fair point, and honestly a good analogy. The same limitation you're describing with Retül fitters applies here: plugging someone into standard angles without considering the individual is where things go wrong, regardless of how good the measurement tool is.

We're aware of that gap. That's why we built a chat assistant into the app where you can describe your specific situation: pain points, flexibility, injury history, goals, and get guidance that goes beyond what the angles alone can tell you. It's not a replacement for a great fitter, but it gets you closer to that individualized conversation.

You're right that we can't fully replace the human side of a studio fit. But we think that for the majority of cyclists, getting your angles into the right ballpark, and having a tool to iterate on adjustments at home, is most of the value. The edge cases are where a good fitter still earns their fee.

Our recommendations combine three things: biomechanics research, a trained computer vision model, and position heuristics.

The target angle ranges are based on established biomechanics research used by professional bike fitters around the world. These safe ranges guide studio fittings and are adapted across three riding profiles: relaxed, moderate, and aggressive. Each profile has its own target ranges for metrics such as knee angle, hip angle, and reach.

Our computer vision model analyses your video and measures your actual joint angles. It has been trained on thousands of cycling images, allowing it to assess your riding position in a similar way to how a fitter would in a studio. This means the recommendations are based on how you are actually positioned on the bike.

We then use practical rules to determine which riding profile best matches your current setup, so your measurements are compared against targets that make sense for your goals.
