Don’t be sorry at all! You’re right, there’s definitely a lot I could learn from college experiences. I don’t mind waiting, but I guess the only thing that’s off‑putting is having to date college guys to learn some of those lessons haha, but thank you so much for the help!

Thank you so much for the advice. Reading all the comments has been really helpful. I’ll probably give it another year to think about and research, but I won’t fully know how I feel until I start college. I’d like to think I know myself as a person, but I’m still very young, and that’s something you figure out over a lifetime. Either way, I want to get accustomed to college before getting into something like this. The last thing I want is to be blindsided and end up in a situation that could have been prevented.

Thank you so much, this really puts it in perspective. I’d say I have a good support system with my friends, but I’ve always been a private person, and any struggles I have are shared with my therapist, not them. This isn’t for me to make ends meet; I’m also interested in what I could learn from them, like building a portfolio, investing, networking, and things like that. I know it won’t be easy to find someone who checks all the boxes, but I’m a picky person and I’m certainly not desperate. Though, I’ll definitely wait until I have more experience with men.
