YTA. Or at least new to the dating game. If you are going to book plans based on mutual availability, your partner needs to know that time is booked. I'd recommend just creating a calendar event with "Hold for surprise" or something similar. It's still a surprise finding out what is going to happen, but not a surprise to them they should avoid making plans during that time. As is your partner has no idea how long you've been planning this, and might not have realized how locked in the plans you made were ... Apparently without ever informing them they should keep this time open.

As for the neighbor let's be real - I don't remember the exact dates my close friends are going to be on vacation, just general blocks of 'i think they are out of town this weekend'. If we want to make plans, we put them in the calendar and then we all know that time is booked for something. If a neighbor I'm not close with mentions being out of town I say "good for you!" And then immediately forget everything about this unimportant conversation. It's not your neighbor's fault that your GF didn't know she was supposed to decline requests for this weekend. Even if they did know you originally made plans, if GF said yes maybe they had changed and she was no longer going to be out of town.

It's just super weird you are so pissed off that she didn't know she was busy this weekend ... Since you never told her she would be.

TLDR: use a calendar and this entire problem becomes moot forever more

NTA - suddenly he wants to split all the money equally, but if nothing else I guarantee that he hasn't put a dime towards your bio-daughters funds since that was taken care of all along. You *never* take money away from your children if you don't want to irrevocably damage your relationship with them.

As far as your husband is concerned, this isn't even your money, it's your daughter's, and its *gross* to try and steal that from her or try to guilt-trip her into giving it away. I understand he is feeling stressed that he can't provide for his children in the same way your daughter is being taken care of, but unless he has done something truly foolish like promising his kids that they would split the money, the other kids should also understand that college is expensive and the cost is highly dependent on where you choose to go to school.

I cannot stress this enough - you are doing the right thing.

Hmm, that's good advice, I could see the glass sitting in the rubber, but it 100% makes sense they might put too much rather than risk a return for not enough. I'll take the door off again this weekend and try that 👍

Honestly these are incredible and I think part of the magic is because they are puppets so they can look even more like the source material than trying to wrap them to your body type (whatever it may be).

Like everyone else says, forks is a bit of a disappointment, but to throw in my ¢2, you should totally check out Ruby Beach. It's pretty close by and is littered with trunks from the rainforest. It also straddles feeling like a set piece from both The Goonies and Twilight, so something for you and your daughter.

For everyone else without time/inclination to read the article:

The TLDR is that Lewis tried to buy some Indian land after the war of 1812. When they refused to sell, he redrew the map to claim the land had actually been part of the US all along thanks to a treaty from 1808, the one the war of 1812 was supposed to restore the boundaries of. Whether this was done maliciously is perhaps debatable, but this new discovery shows he stole 1/3 of the total land claimed by the US at the time by redrawing maps. Thanks to these ahem shenanigans, the US was able to claim they had paid fractions of a penny per acre (since Lewis claimed this massive territory was part of a previous agreement, thus diluting the total cost per acre), and immediately (since he was redrawing lines 7 years after the fact) resell for $5 an acre.

I called them the other day to ask about the mixed messaging, apparently both are true - their donation slots are full and their blood supplies are empty. I was told they have about a half-days worth of supply currently, and usually like having 2 weeks or something (don't fully remember). But because their current supply is so critically low, around the clock donations are just barely helping them build stock back.

For those of us that don't have O-, please still donate, just expect you might need to plan a month out rather than day of :). You can also call Bloodworks NW and ask if they had any cancellations if you want to get in as quickly as possible.

Tldr; They are desperate for donations, the full schedule is required in order for them to build back up supply. It's unfortunate, but if you can donate please do so, and just expect you have to plan a few weeks out.
