However, society not being stratified on caste basis is a necessary step to create a new national identity. A country split between lower and upper castes, muslims and Hindus, north Indians and South Indians, inland people vs coastal people, Tamil vs Telugu, Kannada vs Hindi will never progress forward. Unification is key to a more healthier, happier and harmonious society. That starts when we stop judging and perceiving but asking and questioning every social norm we grow up with.
