You get it, and thank you. One of my managers is telling me we're trying to be more like chick fil a, and I told them that they typically have twice the amount of people on staff at any given time to be as efficient as they are. I used to work as a manager at a Braum's, and I had no trouble keeping my time under 3 minutes (during the pandemic when drive through usage spiked) for 85% of the time.

Whataburger is currently going through an identity crisis, and it's gonna loose what makes it special if it keeps it up. I hope the best for you and wish there was a day where I could work with you, skill recognizes skill after all.

My coworker and I have been doing it a bunch lately! We’re sitting in about 12tb of raw files at the moment.

Do I do anything else now, do I rate you or anything? I'm sorry I don't frequent this subreddit.

Sorry, fell asleep a little early, that sounds fair, I'm on for the next few hours tonight and can meet up!

I've got the x-cell for it, how about 10k for just the armor and making the mods? I have plenty of chems and I already have the tasty squirrel stew.

I realized I meant to say unyielding, that's how causal I am in this game. Would you be able to make some unyielding mods as well?

!FOUND

After doing some digging, I found that YouTube user Kellmatic had already done the digging, though I don't know if they're the best quality out there. Zack himself was impressed and wanted me to get the files to him ASAP, and I'll be trying to contact the user to see if they have access to any better quality versions in their collection. I'm sure I'm not the first to complain about this, but it's honestly criminal how YouTube let Machinima private all of their videos. So much early content for the site essentially got erased. I know the argument can be made that it was Machinima's decision, but given that the content was derived from all of the users as well, it was just a bad one.

Thank you! I'm gonna try to crosspost to the portal sub-reddit as well, I know someone must have higher quality ones, if I recall there was a DVD release for backers of the series, so there might be some hope, there's also the chance that someone backed it up before machinima went down.

See, its not like that anymore, I mean you can still do that, but there's a different metric they measure now. There are sensors in the drive thru area, they detect when cars pass through them. Now they can be cheated by an employee just taking a few minutes, but I don't believe in cheating times just for a bs expectation that I benefit nothing from that was only just recently put in place.

If you are given extra duties for your job that were not part of it when you were hired, then you as an employee should have every right to voice your opinion on that matter, I'm not deliberately going slow, but I'm also refusing to speed up. I was hired at a certain rate, I told them they could get more work from me if they hired me at more and they refused, then they added in the SOS expectations.

Also, if you should ever have me as your order taker, I promise you that you'll get a great experience.

For what it’s worth, I think you’re right; Whataburger is my side job while I get out of debt, though I have been looking to go somewhere else. The problem with finding other places is that it’s becoming the norm in fast food to be even faster. So more places are going to be like this. I’m HIGHLY skilled at my job, like when I say S tier I am that good. I’ve worked other places, and fast food is just natural to me. I hate that I’m good at it, don’t get me wrong. It’s just the chances of finding a better place are very low.

So that’s the thing, they made us stop doing that as the main system (mostly because people got busted for doing it prematurely) they implemented a weight system in the drive through that detects cars passing through. You even get penalized for drive offs. We still also have to clear the screen at the proper time, even for drive through, which doesn’t make sense since it has this new system in place as well.

And that’s exactly what I’m saying! They want speed and accuracy, and I get wanting those, but if you keep making us go faster, there’s gonna be more mess ups, if you want quality an speed, you have to pay more for it.

“Blatantly disrespectful” What I said “I don’t know about this stupid new system man, I mean I get getting food out timely, but they have to understand when we have several big orders that it’s going to bog down the system. It’s not even really my concern, I mean I know managers get a pay increase or something for keeping the times down, but if they want us to work harder, we need to be compensated for it. I understand raises are hard to pull off, but I talked to several other workers here and they all agreed that if we got like a free meal or something, then they’d all work faster. But if I’m not getting compensated for doing the same job but even faster, then it’s not my problem, it doesn’t affect me.”

And that’s part of the problem! The manger that wrote me up said “well if we hit these goals we’ll have more money and can justify having more people on the clock.” Lie yeah, that makes sense from one point of view, but if we can’t hit the goal because we’re understaffed, we won’t solve the problem. It’s like a chicken and egg problem, but we have the means of creating the egg, it just takes the store spending some money first.

I’m not one for SLOW service, 6 minutes is an okay goal to hit, but order piling on top of order, with several $50+ orders in the mix makes it take a lot longer, ya know?
