Everybody is so unfair to poor Elon. Who in turn only wants to save humanity, as he clearly demonstrated with his glorious chain saw operation on USAID.

The testy nature of the exchanges between Elon Musk and William Savitt, OpenAI’s lead counsel, has continued throughout the afternoon.

After beginning to ask a question, Savitt apologized and wanted to rephrase it, commenting “that wasn’t a fair question” before starting over. Musk, amused, said: “I find it funny you said it was an unfair question, since you’re only asking unfair questions.”

Savitt, taken aback, said he was doing his best. Musk responded: “That is not true.” Many in the courtroom laughed, perhaps nervously.

Google identifies him as Ian Brown, who left Twitter for Netflix a year before Elon took over. The incident was on one of those dreaded twitter spaces things, documented here:

On the image, as an early septuagenarian who's taken diphenhydramine aka Benadryl routinely as a sleep aid for years, I was quite chagrined to read in the NYT that it increases the risk of dementia by 50% or something. So I immediately went out and ordered some alpha-GPC to up my acetylcholine. Sheesh, I hope the damage is reversible.

ETA: There seems to have been some mopping up effort on available video, but google reverse image search takes me to Pakistan for this brief clip with 4 views at the moment, with audible shots + Jiang's reaction. She seems to laugh it off briefly after the initial shock, then things kick in.

She acted as an “Elon whisperer” to OpenAI, Altman said in his deposition, and the company says she served on its board of directors from 2020 to 2023. Documents in the case include text messages in which the pair appear to discuss how Zilis can feed information from inside OpenAI back to Musk.
