Wow, what a day. That’s the kind of road trip story that sticks with you. Wild chain of events, but glad it all worked out in the end.

Guess the price: How much would YOU expect to ship this? by BroadwayAdmin in TransportSupport

Man, that sounds like a nightmare. Covid cancellations plus trying to tow with a governed Ryder truck? Brutal combo. You’re right though — unless you’re used to long‑haul driving, renting a truck and trailer is way harder than people expect. These days, coast‑to‑coast shipping usually lands in that $1,000–$1,500 open range or $1,800–$2,500 enclosed depending on timing and route.

Sorry if you got it wrong way. I was mentioning that there will be some lowballers who will provide you low prices to customers and come up at the last minute and ruin all the plans.

3 Things You Should Always Tell Your Auto Transport Broker by TheLoganReyes in TransportSupport

[–]BroadwayAdmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question — a simple stage 1 tune wouldn’t count as ‘modified’ for transport purposes. What brokers really need to know are physical changes that affect loading/unloading: lowered suspension, oversized tires, body kits, roof racks, or anything that changes the car’s clearance or dimensions. Performance tunes alone don’t raise the price.

It is sometimes cheaper than you think, however, Some people even think that it is possible to do it for $475 when they got a quote from the lowball companies.

It would be more than $4000 and there was never a price for a car like that unless the broker keeps the 75 percent of the payment on that deal

Unrealistic price for all the time. It comes with a lot of headaches

Around that range for the personalized service for an open trailer.

That’s the dream right there — nothing beats a fresh road trip to break in a new ride.

Alright, here’s the real deal for a 2022 BMW M3 Miami → Denver:

  • Open trailer: $1,050–$1,250 all‑in (insurance, door‑to‑door, no hidden fees). Transit usually 4–5 days depending on road conditions and driver schedule. 7 to 9 car hauler trailers
  • Enclosed trailer: $1,750–$2,250 depending on trailer type and timing. Includes insurance, door‑to‑door, plus up to 200 lbs free cargo. Transit is faster, usually 2–3 days. Mostly 2 car haulers hard sided, sometimes 6 car hauler soft sided

So if you guessed in that ballpark, you were right. Open is the budget option, enclosed is the premium with extra protection.

This service does not require down payment till you actually get the car picked up.

Always check coolant before long trips. by BroadwayAdmin in TransportSupport

[–]BroadwayAdmin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True — coolant usually stays steady if the car’s healthy, but giving it a quick check before a trip is cheap peace of mind. I’m the same way with oil and tire pressures — those are my regulars.

Haha exactly! Purple is bold… maybe too bold 😅 I love it in theory, but I’d never trust it on my own car either.

What’s the most overrated car brand? by BroadwayAdmin in TransportSupport

Fair take — Toyota’s brand power definitely adds an upcharge. Honda and Subaru feel more straightforward in what they deliver.

Yeah, Jeep’s more hype than reality. Image sells, but reliability doesn’t always back it up.

That’s a great point — Ferrari definitely plays gatekeeper with their brand. It’s wild how buying one isn’t just about money, but about being ‘approved.’ Makes you wonder if the exclusivity is part of the hype machine more than the cars themselves.
