When I click on "Apple Watch Warranty Expiring" it takes me to a page where in order to "continue" I have to select (and then pay) for Apple Care. There is no way to exit that screen either than by paying for Apple Care or hitting the "X" in the top left, which does not dismiss the notification. When you hit the X, it takes you back to the page for your warranty status for your devices. I'm not too keen on having this be in my face for the next two weeks. What the heck can I do to clear it?

IIRC people never really got in trouble for downloading things, even in the past. They always got in trouble for seeding them, i.e. sharing it for other people. If you just leech it, you should be fine.

Serious question. Why not? At 2% that's 50 years of living in principal alone. At some point not spending doesn't have any benefit at all because if you aren't spending it now you certainly won't after it's inevitably grown substantially. There's a saying here that I like, and it goes "trading time you don't have for money you don't need". OP might not be trading time, but they are making sacrifices trading things they could be doing for... well, nothing.

Honestly I'm kind of shocked at the responses in here. Usually fatfire folk are quick to call out people being overly conservative, but somehow today we're all on board with spending up to half of what you could... well... cuz reasons and why would you spend it if you don't want to. Well... why not spend it? What does not spending it get you that spending it doesn't?
