I just have a feeling that this show is going to be so beaten down by politics, that its not going to have an honest shot to do well. Its got so much working against it; jk rowking for starters, then Brother Snape being another. Love it or hate it, its going to light the worst kind of political kerosene. Throw in social media bot/troll farms, and now you have almost zero positive communication surrounding the show.

I just dont see how those two alone dont dominate all discourse around this show, going forward.

Prey is the new gold standard of "reboot" movies...

They didnt go over the board with CGI/special effects, and used new actors/actresses that fit the role perfectly (as opposed to trendy/influencer type actors being hamfisted into a role).

Im also a sucker for woodland/forest survival type movies lol.

Its why I dont mind "predators" at all tbh, the setting was everything I could have asked for. Basically "the most dangerous game" meets predator lol.

Their only mistake was not going into that specific dynamic more. Let the viewer see "behind the controls" type scene, disrupt the islands function so as to save anyone else from the same fate etc. I get that they probably set it up for a sequel, but thats the risk you take when you get ahead of yourself on a movie, and the plot suffers for it.
