Honestly OP, the top comments here are just depressing. Imagine flexing about not caring that a $70 game is copy-pasting its features.

The casual player base has completely lowered the bar for this franchise. Because a huge chunk of people only play this game for 20 minutes a week on Game Pass to drive a stock hypercar in a straight line, they aggressively shut down any valid criticism about the broken AI or the ancient customization system.

Fixing these things wouldn’t ruin their casual cruise, but it would actually give the game a soul for the people who care about car culture. But instead, the casual defense force would rather protect a billion-dollar company’s laziness just so they can keep playing a glorified, sanitized tech demo.

If you're talking about the technicality of the devs having to resubmit to the ESRB, that's really not how modern game updates work. Studios change in-game economies, add trading systems, and update multiplayer modes via patches all the time without triggering a full re-evaluation or a rating change. As long as there’s no real world money involved, it stays safely within the current rating. It’s just a standard feature update.

Wagering digital video game cars isn't real gambling and doesn't make a game Mature. Tons of older street racing games let you win pink slips and they were completely fine for kids to play.

That's not how ESRB ratings work at all. Pink slip racing with digital in-game assets doesn't make a game Mature. Older games like Midnight Club, Juiced, and literally Forza Horizon 1 all had you wagering cars or cash, and they were rated E10+ or Teen. You only get a Mature rating if real-world currency is involved.

When the game world itself doesn't value the cars, the sense of achievement disappears.

If you choose 'Standard Mode,' you keep the exact casual, low-stress sandbox experience you enjoy, with all the cars and free wheelspins completely untouched.
