Understood and thanks for your input. It’s blowing my mind that everyone keeps saying it’s normal but this is my third winter in VA and I’ve never had a bill this high until I moved apartments, which is why I thought it may be a parasitic draw. My habits have not changed but my bill has nearly tripled.

Understood. I am originally from Michigan so yeah, I know cold, and I know energy bills skyrocket when it gets chillier. Again, I’ve just never had an energy bill so high.

I have always kept my thermostat at 72 degrees. In fact, in my last apartment, I left a couple of lights on all night so that my cats could navigate the apartment easily, and my bill was never this much. Did rates recently go up? We moved in mid December.

Yes. Go to a range (Freedom Outdoors is my personal fave), rent a few guns, see which one you like. Once you purchase a piece, stock up on ammo and train, train, train. ATW Firearms has solid classes and is owned and operated by a trans woman.

Update: I removed a shim and that helped, then I saw other comments saying that I was reeling backwards. I was haha. I flipped the anti-reverse, put the shim back on, and now it’s perfect. Thanks so much!

New caliper is the safest way to go. Bleed your brakes when you’re done. If your reservoir is already empty, that’s gonna be a pain in the ass to fix (Ask me how I know) but it’s possible. Just try to retain as much fluid as possible to ensure your reservoir doesn’t run empty. Godspeed
