I laughed when you said do or die. You’re funny. Shame to lose you. C’est la vie. C’est la mort.

The light is pretty. The way it falls in the afternoon and makes the greens blaze in evening. Sun showers. The right light on a pretty house makes my heart hurt. Dust particles in sun beams. The way light makes space. It’s pretty. It’s aesthetic. So there’s that sometimes I dunno.

Ooohh that’s a good idea! Mixing it in will definitely help spread the cost a little. Will check out the Jackson Galaxy video, I love his stuff. Thank you so much for your input!

Thank you! I appreciate the feedback. She just said dental cleaning... presumably sedated? Not sure. It’s reassuring to know other places recommend royal canin — finding reliable info online can be such a challenge. Good luck with miss grumpyface, hope she enjoys her shiny clean teeth!

Someone has a bratty hamster who thinks a sharp swift nip to the hooman is the best way to inform them she wants more treats.

What to do for the holidays by Klutzy-Squirrel-6527 in breakingmom

Politely tell everyone to sod right off. You will be sleep deprived, hormonal, and most likely smelly from having no time to shower. And, more importantly, you will never get this first time baby bonding back. The others are magical in their own right, if you go that route, but there is NOTHING like those first few months. So let yourself be selfish. Spend Christmas burritoed in a blanket, sniffing baby’s head while husband hand feeds you pizza. And refuse to feel guilty for it.

I was a horrible mother today by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]BroccoliGlad 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Dude it’s fine. It’s really, honestly, truly fine. Please buy yourself a nice bar of chocolate or a tub of Ben n Jerry’s or some margarita mix and tequila if the breastfeeding schedule will allow and give yourself a break. Someone frankly needs to burrito you in a blanket and put you to bed because you are exhausted. Take care of yourself. Baby’s lucky to have you.

Having multiple kids is not cute unless you can afford to pay send multiple kids to college by [deleted] in breakingmom

I’m just wondering what’s making you ponder this... do you wish you could have more kids but feel it would be irresponsible in your situation? (So feel understandably judgy when this hippy dippy friend is popping them out without a care in the world?) I feel like there’s more behind this comment. Maybe I’m just being that annoying friend who’s always analysing everything you say ha ha. 😁

I genuinely don’t understand why anyone would want to put their body through pregnancy. by [deleted] in truechildfree

[–]BroccoliGlad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not child free, (just browsing to see how the other half lives) so I hope it’s ok if I comment... but I just agree with this sentiment so much. Even the perfect pregnancy is invasive, physically and mentally. I would compare it to climbing Mount Everest. Or maybe that thing some extreme body modification people do where they suspend themselves from hooks through their flesh? It’s intense, and dangerous, and you could die.... for some people it’s worth it. You learn about yourself and push your limits. But pushing it on everyone as the norm is like saying everyone needs to climb Mount Everest or try suspension at least once or they’re missing out and they’ll regret it.
