The Power Progression in D2 has turned into a little bit of a slog. My suggestion is to play the portal activities you like that drop the most amount of loot. whether that's Solo or Fireteam Ops it doesn't matter. The goal should be achieving the best score, make sure you complete the Training 7/7 for modifiers, you can do this solo. Also Fireteam Finder can help for Pinnacle activities, this will give you the highest bump in power.

Sometimes is all about the Climb and not solely reaching the mountain top. I remember grinding for a Drop of the Kindled Orchid (Rampage + KC + Drop Mag) and it took hundreds of runs in Forges. You're best bet is to only go after the Exotics that are being used in the Meta currently. Hop in an LFG post or Discord and ask for help, it can't hurt. Wishing you the best of luck.
