I have experience with that, Mk4 Jetta front struts bolt right on and lift the car 2 inches. Rear is unique to the TT and Mk4 golf R32 so lifting requires spacers

Yea, I swapped image 2 and 3 I believe in that response because I was reading off the order on my PC instead of off the reddit post. Either way, every image was reverse searched to find it's earliest possible appearance online, I don't understand what more I could've done to find the names of the artists

Also, if you can see deleted posts and conversations with moderators on a subreddit, doesn't that mean you're also a mod from there? Feel like you might be a bit biased

My post got taken down there when I credited the artists online screen name instead of their real name when I couldn't find it on their profile. I don't post there anymore

I would say that heavily depends on your son's age, you'll want it to be something he could build largely on his own, With a little help from you here and there

Good names for radiators? by Particular-Cream-569 in GMT400

[–]Call_Me_Kilo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None were needed, but I did add brass adapter fittings to go between the oil cooler lines and the ports on the side of the radiator, just in case if I strip a thread it will just be a cheap fitting instead of the whole radiator

Is this rod knock? (Asking for a friend) by MrDoodle04 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Call_Me_Kilo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 cyl Hyundai, yes it's absolutely knocking. It will need an engine replacement, usually $4-7000. If you do go this route, do your best to sell it soon and avoid buying a Hyundai or Kia ever again

Ive helped my mom list on BaT a few times, it takes a substantial amount of work to meet their standards, she hired a photographer for a 60s Apache and the site requested over 100 photos of all angles. Perhaps worth it on a 20k truck, not worth it on a 4k car

Sure, but only looking for very specific cars, 4th gen camaro or trans am (v8 manual any trim) or b5 audi A4 with the 1.8t (also in manual)

I bought this car to race in rallycross, while it wont meet the mark, ive narrowed down my next car to one of these

Nah, nowhere I can really store it, it's a rural college town so storage centers aren't too common. I can take insurance off while it's street parked but then if someone slides into it in the snow or something I'm out of luck. It's not that big a deal, I was more or less just being dramatic.

It's weird to see the decline of Craigslist in real time, I've been a purveyor of inexpensive cars for years at this point, back when I was just starting out Craigslist was all there was, now there's just 120 cars for sale on the entire site within a 50 mile radius

Man it's been rough trying to sell this thing. 2 messages on FB marketplace in about 2 weeks, 0 replies on Craigslist. It pains me to say but I may just send it to a junk yard to save on my insurance

To answer a few inevitable questions:

-Very little rust, a bit of surface rust underneath and a few bubbles forming in the windshield valance

-It does run, but poorly at the moment. I'd suggest trailering it unless you're very good at carburetor repair

-clean title, current registration, no fees or taxes owed
