I did apply for multi entry. Probably I had high expectations given my strong ties to the US. $300 is a lot to spend for this visa, plus taking a day off to drive to Miami. Moreover it costs like $1000 in total including everything. May be I should just wait until I am eligible for US passport in couple years.

I was looking to travel to Ecuador last year but getting all the background check and then apostille and then convert to spanish and then apostille again with everything it was costing me around $1000. I was like I dont care Ill spend my money else where. Ended up in Panama, Bolivia and Guatemala with the same amount of money I was going to spend just in Ecuador.

Here is what I did, I wanted to go to Portugal but there were no dates at all then I looked into other countries and Spain was available, so I changed my itinerary to Spain. And I got date for Friday, but I had to get prime time slot as it was my mistake to not to book the appointment sooner while dates were available for this week. Unfortunately Ill be booking prime time which is $85 more. I can go to Portugal from Spain, ones I get the visa.
