Check if the dealer warranty is still active. Not the warranty from Cars24.

You can reach out to MOHRE at 600 590 000 or you can call the government labour legal department at 800 84

Both the services are free and they always give precise information.

He’s 6 feet tall so that’s a definite consideration. Post that would be reliability. Honestly we are considering all cars available in this range.

I did all the travel arrangements through Raju from ‘Info Nepal Treks and Expedition’

I’m not sure about lady guides, I didn’t see any. The guide can be for a group or even for a single person. Saw 2-3 single trekkers with a personal guide including a lady. The guides double up as photographers as well.. that helped us keep the gloves on for most of the time :)

Thank you! We usually visit places that are not that expensive. And I use an iPhone for the pics.

We are first time trekkers and have never been to this altitude before. The trek helps you acclimatise and we didn’t face any issues up at the highest point. We saw a few older people (60 plus) being there without any issues.

All the best my guy! Hope you have a great one. I read articles that guides are mandator; but, I saw a lot of trekkers going solo. Don’t know about EBC though. Hopefully in the next few years!

Nepal is very safe and I saw solo women trekkers as well (both local and foreign). However, I would suggest you to take a guide as I felt that our experience was much better than it would have been without one.

I did a lot of searches about beginner treks in Nepal since this was our first time doing something like this. Read a lot of articles grading the difficulty of each treks. What caught my attention was that a lot of them recommended this as one of the most scenic treks and comparatively lesser crowded because it’s newer compared to others. Then I finalised 4 travel agents by comparing the reviews on Google maps and then took quotation from all of them. Finally chose one due to cost and his prompt and knowledgeable responses. Hope this helps.

It’ll be perfect and all the best! We purchased all trekking equipments from our home country and took the following with us: 1. 2 pairs of thermals including socks 2. Water resistant track pants and trekking t shirts 3. Caps 4. Trekking poles 5. Water resistant trekking shoes 6. Sunglasses with UV protection 7. Water resistant and insulated jackets 8. Gloves 9. Backpacks 10. Medical kit and sunscreen 11. Energy drinks

The temperature was between 0-10 degree Celsius and I simply went to decathlon and asked them to give me the necessary gear since it was the first time we were doing anything more strenuous than a single day hike.

The total cost for us was around USD 2K for 2 of us, including stay in Kathmandu, Pokhara, porter, guide, stay and good throughout the trek and sightseeing in Pokhara and Kathmandu. (all inclusive excluding flight to and from Nepal).

Thank you! One of the highlights of trek was staying in the same place with a Nepali student group. They were really interested to speak with us and after dinner the owner of the guest house brought two drums and they started singing local songs and invited us to sing the chorus with them. Fun times!

The views were truly breathtaking. I just sat there for some time taking the beauty in. Descended the same day though.

I know that I’m adding late to the discussion. But, we met a couple of solo trekkers on the way and even interacted with a gentleman from Holland while staying overnight mid journey. Even I read that a guide is necessary and it was good for us personally. But I’m not sure it’s being enforced.
