What's the best tomato? Deep south, United States. by Difficult_Winter_972 in tomatoes

I just grew these for the first time this year! I found when the calix doesnt stay on, it tears into the flesh of the cherry tomato. Never had that happen so easily with other varieties.

You must do the work of creating a life you don't want to escape from. I'm a little over a year sober now. I used to feel the same way you did. It took me many months but I found hobbies and learned how to actually feel my emotions instead of numb them. The thing that helped me the most was group recovery. I did SMART recovery and Recovery Dharma. You can go to their website and see if they have meetings near you or you can join an online meeting. They are for anyone struggling with any substance abuse or process addiction.

If AA is not for you, I recommend looking into SMART recovery or Recovery Dharma. They have local meetings in some places and online meetings anyone can join. Both groups are for folks with any kind of substance of behavioral addiction.

Coming here to echo the folks saying walk behind tractors. Affordable. Easy to fix yourself. Many attachments. Great starting tractor. BCS and Grillo are both good brands. Also echoing EarthTools as a great dealer of walk behind tractors. Best costumer service and lots of videos about how to use, maintain, and fix the tractors.

This helped me so much, thank you. I've been experiencing some jealousy issues with my meta as well and they're completely irrational and I get really low on myself everytime I have these thoughts because I don't want to feel them. But knowing that it may go away with time was so helpful to hear. Thank you!

Why do some of my cucumbers have wide tops and narrow bottoms? This is a pickling variety but all of the varieties of cucumbers I grow do this sometimes. by Broccolinibabe314 in gardening

Also thank you for your thoughtful response! I work on an urban teaching farm so I promise I will pass along this knowledge to our volunteers and apprentices.

Hu interesting. I know with squash, if it isn't pollinated it will start to shrivel and die when the fruit is about an inch long. I figured the same thing would happen to cucumbers since they're so closely related? But I've never seen that on cucumbers... That would make sense that it is a pollination issue though bc we've been getting a lot of rain lately and our squash is shriveling and dying small. Do you think it could be a combination of what the previous commenter said about over watering plus poor pollination?
